In the last few hours, following criticism for the government's delay in deploying the Army<\/a>, there have been some changes in this regard.<\/p>\n

This afternoon, at 20:17 CET and following numerous criticisms, the Ministry of Defense<\/strong> has announced<\/a> that there are \"2,000 soldiers on the ground and hundreds more working on logistics<\/strong> to ensure that all work plans work, that air resources can fly and that aid reaches where it is needed.\"<\/em><\/p>\n

Soldiers, Civil Guards and police are already doing a great job, but three days later and seeing the magnitude of the disaster, these figures are still insufficient<\/strong>, especially considering that hundreds of thousands of people have been affected, that many have no electricity or running water, as well as the serious damage to roads and railways. The great capabilities of our Armed Forces are being wasted in an incomprehensible way.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It has deployed more than 1,000 soldiers<\/a> belonging to the following units:<\/p>\n
