The incidents that occurred yesterday in Paiporta and the cowardly flight of Pedro S\u00e1nchez<\/a>, abandoning the King, have had international repercussions.<\/p>\n

The anger of the people of Paiporta, the courage of King Felipe VI and the cowardice of S\u00e1nchez<\/a><\/rel>
\nPedro S\u00e1nchez took 4 days to order a large military deployment and justified it by lying<\/a><\/rel><\/p>\n

S\u00e1nchez's image both inside and outside Spain has been left in tatters. The scene of a prime minister fleeing the town while the King stays to listen to the people has been devastating for S\u00e1nchez<\/strong>, who has been seen as a coward, capable of abandoning the King in the face of a protest by people who had been without water or electricity for days, due to the government's poor management<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The poor image that S\u00e1nchez has given is counterpointed, moreover, by the praise of the King for his bravery, even by openly republican people<\/strong>, as could be seen yesterday in some media outlets and on social networks.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

These compliments are well deserved. While S\u00e1nchez was on the run, Felive VI and Letizia showed their humanity and closeness to the people and reinforced the image of the Monarchy<\/strong>, an institution that enjoys much more prestige in Spain than the political class.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The government uses its friendly media to attack the King<\/big><\/p>\n

The S\u00e1nchez government has reacted to this situation by unleashing a new campaign against the King.<\/strong> The campaign began yesterday afternoon with a statement leaked by the government to the pro-government media Eldiario.es<\/a>, stating that the visit to Paiporta was \"an effort by the king that should not have happened. A gigantic mistake<\/strong>\"<\/em>. These words, coming from an anonymous source (the aforementioned media attributed them to \"sources from the Executive\") were quickly reproduced by a multitude of media in the following hours<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In the evening, the socialist minister \u00d3scar Puente joined in with these criticisms of the King's visit from La Sexta<\/a>, stating that \"it was perhaps not the most opportune moment<\/strong>\"<\/em> to make the visit, since \"tempers were very heated\"<\/em>. It is curious to observe that this government, which never acknowledges any error<\/strong> and in which there are never resignations for anything, always insists on attributing errors to others<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This Monday, another pro-government media outlet, the socialist newspaper El Pa\u00eds, headlined a news item as follows<\/a>: \"The King wanted to visit 'ground zero' of the Dana despite the risk of protests<\/strong>.\"<\/em> The news item again cites anonymous sources from La Moncloa, that is, from the presidency of the government, which yesterday must have been very active leaking criticism of the King to media outlets close to the socialist executive in an attempt to cover up S\u00e1nchez's cowardice<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Spanish television hides S\u00e1nchez's cowardly escape<\/big><\/p>\n

Yesterday the RTVE Libre Platform denounced the manipulation of the visit by Televisi\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola,<\/a> the public channel controlled by the government: \"They hide Schez's escape behind the Crown and relate the social protest with \"the extreme right.\"<\/strong> The images, with Mazon next to the King, contradict the Sanchista story\"<\/em>. RTVE's manipulation is yet another example of what some already know as the \"synchronized opinion team\"<\/strong> of the government and its related media.<\/p>\n

Let us remember that last Wednesday,<\/strong> while thousands of Valencians had already been without electricity or water for hours and many bodies remained uncollected, the government and its partners saw it as more \"urgent\" to assault the RTVE board,<\/a> in a parliamentary vote that provoked indignation and led the opposition to leave Congress in protest. This RTVE in the hands of the government is the one that yesterday crudely manipulated the King's visit to Paiporta,<\/strong> hiding S\u00e1nchez's cowardice. This is what they want our taxes for, and not to help the victims of the cold drop when it was still possible to save lives.<\/p>\n

Attacks on the Monarchy have so far increased support for the King<\/big><\/p>\n

It is worth remembering that this is not the first campaign that the S\u00e1nchez government has carried out against the Monarchy<\/strong>, in its eagerness to attack those institutions of the State that are not controlled by the socialists. However, until now these attacks have only managed to increase support for the Monarchy in Spain<\/a>. It does not seem that the action of the government's synchronized opinion team will be able to change this after what we saw yesterday.<\/p>\n
