This morning I spoke here about knee-jerk journalism in Spain<\/a> and today we have a clear example of this phenomenon.<\/p>\n

We need to start being ruthless with knee-jerk journalism in Spain<\/a><\/rel>
\nSanchez is cornered by socialist corruption and his only defense is already burned<\/a><\/rel><\/p>\n

In the midst of the socialist corruption scandal following V\u00edctor de Aldama's judicial statement this Thursday<\/a>, the pro-government channel La Sexta has decided to schedule its entire evening tonight to talk about Franco,<\/strong> a historical figure who is regularly used by the Spanish left as a wild card to cover up any uncomfortable issue<\/strong>, to settle any debate or to stigmatize anyone who disagrees with the ideological dogmas of the left.<\/p>\n

To do this, La Sexta will use its program \"Equipo de Investigaci\u00f3n\"<\/a> with a 4-hour broadcast talking about Francoism<\/strong>. A curious monograph on a dictator who died almost half a century ago and which serves this channel close to the PSOE to avoid talking about the socialist corruption that is making many headlines today<\/strong>. To do this, they resort to episodes that are not even new. The last space scheduled for today about Franco was broadcast five years ago.<\/a><\/p>\n

It should be noted that this programme has been broadcast on La Sexta for 13 years<\/strong> and in all this time it has only made two mentions of the PSOE on its Twitter account<\/a>, neither of them related to the corruption cases of that party. La Sexta's peculiar investigative programme has not dedicated a single episode to the corruption scandals affecting Pedro S\u00e1nchez's government<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Coincidentally, the presenter of the show, Gl\u00f2ria Serra, has only mentioned the PSOE twice on Twitter<\/a> since Pedro S\u00e1nchez took office, and one of them was to link<\/a> an article praising the socialist leader<\/a>. It is understandable that she has not had time to devote more attention to the PSOE and its corruption cases. She would be too busy investigating Franco.<\/p>\n
