{"id":57985,"date":"2024-12-06T17:20:33","date_gmt":"2024-12-06T16:20:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/?p=57985"},"modified":"2024-12-08T18:46:27","modified_gmt":"2024-12-08T17:46:27","slug":"the-cheating-video-about-the-russian-invasion-of-ukraine-shared-by-elon-musk-on-twitter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2024\/12\/06\/the-cheating-video-about-the-russian-invasion-of-ukraine-shared-by-elon-musk-on-twitter\/","title":{"rendered":"The cheating video about the Russian invasion of Ukraine shared by Elon Musk on Twitter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I've defended Elon Musk in his support for free speech on Twitter, but I don't like it when anyone tries to trick me.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><rel><a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2022\/10\/04\/ukraines-response-to-an-elon-musk-peace-plan-that-seems-to-be-the-devised-by-putin\/\">Ukraine's response to an Elon Musk 'peace' plan that seems to be the devised by Putin<\/a><\/rel><br \/>\n<rel><a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2022\/08\/15\/russias-ultimatums-to-nato-and-to-the-us-putin-wanted-a-europe-subservient-to-moscow\/\">Russia's ultimatums to NATO and to the US: Putin wanted a Europe subservient to Moscow<\/a><\/rel><\/p>\n<p>Last night at 2:26 CET, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1864843922448486654\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the owner of Twitter shared this video<\/a> on his personal account on that social network:<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\" style=\"margin:10px 0 10px 0;\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"zxx\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/gEO2qqN5ed\">pic.twitter.com\/gEO2qqN5ed<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Elon Musk (@elonmusk) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1864843922448486654?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 6, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Fidias0\/status\/1864753745013211480\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The video was posted by independent Cypriot MEP Fidias Panayiotou, a YouTuber who has made a political career out of his fame, without having much of a political agenda beyond <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=8cwWglQXu5E\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">proposals such as eliminating exams in schools.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In the video, <strong>Panayiotou speaks for 1 minute and 27 seconds about the Russian invasion of Ukraine without mentioning Putin and without saying that it is a Russian invasion<\/strong>, blaming EU and US politicians for the war to continue, simply by continuing to send military aid to Ukraine to defend itself from the invaders. <strong>Panayiotou accuses EU politicians of doing something \"crazy and inhuman\", but does not utter a single criticism against Russia or Putin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It is shameful that Musk is helping to spread <strong>propaganda that misleads people and makes Twitter users look like fools<\/strong>. Talking about the war in Ukraine while blaming the EU and the US, as this video does, <strong>is a clear example of pro-Russian propaganda<\/strong>.
