For years I have been warning about the slippery slope that is leading to the greatest incoherence that occurs in many democratic countries.<\/p>\n
An attack on the right to live that threatens all other rights<\/big><\/p>\n This incoherence consists in declaring that one of the human rights is the right to life<\/strong> and that the weakest and most innocent must be protected<\/strong> (two of the most basic precepts that any society that is not only democratic, but minimally civilized should respect) and at the same time calling a \"right\" the act of killing an innocent and defenseless human being in his or her prenatal age<\/strong>, that horrendous crime that some disguise with cynical euphemisms such as \"reproductive health\" or \"voluntary interruption of pregnancy.\"<\/p>\n For years I have been warning that if the right to life is violated, all other rights are threatened<\/strong>, since life is the foundation on which our freedoms are based. Without life there is no freedom, no matter how many people commit the nauseating manipulation of calling murder \"free choice\" or \"free abortion\".<\/strong><\/p>\n Blacklists that violate Article 16 of the Constitution<\/big><\/p>\n Yesterday, the Observatory for Religious and Conscientious Freedom (OLRC) and Professionals for Ethics denounced<\/a> the announcement by the S\u00e1nchez government<\/a> that it will create a \"registry of objectors\"<\/strong> in which doctors who, fulfilling their professional obligation to cure and save lives, refuse to collaborate with this crime.<\/p>\n These associations remind us of something very basic: \"Conscientious objection is a fundamental right. Forcing a register of objectors goes against freedom of conscience and religion,<\/strong> because it forces people to declare their own beliefs.\"<\/em> They also warn of another risk: \"A register of objectors could open the door to reprisals<\/strong> or persecution against objectors in their workplaces.\"<\/em><\/p>\n Indeed, the measure announced by the government violates Article 16 of the Spanish Constitution, which guarantees ideological and religious freedom<\/strong>. Point 2 of that article is very clear:<\/p>\n \"No one may be forced to declare their ideology, religion or beliefs<\/strong>.\"<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Creating a register of objectors, that is, creating blacklists to include those who disagree with the government's pro-abortion theses<\/strong> (which is ultimately what the announcement made by the coalition executive of socialists and communists consists of) is a clear and resounding violation of that constitutional article and puts us on the same level as a dictatorship<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The complicity of the Popular Party with this measure<\/big><\/p>\n It is not at all strange to find such authoritarian attitudes on the far left,<\/strong> which is where Pedro S\u00e1nchez's government is ideologically located. Let us remember that a few days ago S\u00e1nchez and his partners voted against demanding that dictator Maduro end repression in Venezuela,<\/a> a socialist dictatorship that resists thanks to the complicity of governments like the Spanish one. The most paradoxical thing is to see the complicity of the PP with this measure<\/strong>, the same PP whose statutes still affirm that this party is inspired by \"Christian humanism\"<\/a>.<\/p>\n This Monday, the protocol to create this registry that violates the Constitution<\/strong> was approved by the government with the support of the autonomous communities<\/a>, including those that are in the hands of the Popular Party. In the face of the PP's betrayal, it must be remembered that two years ago Vox denounced that this register of objectors violates fundamental rights<\/a>, a criticism that Vox reiterated three years ago months<\/a>.<\/p>\n Once again, it has become clear that there is only one pro-life party left in the Spanish Parliament<\/strong>.
