Just days before Christmas, the Putin regime continues to launch criminal attacks against the civilian population of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Russia destroys the historic Odessa Orthodox Cathedral in a brutal missile attack<\/a><\/rel>
\nThe assassination of a Ukrainian priest by the Russians while distributing humanitarian aid<\/a><\/rel><\/p>\n

On Friday morning, Russia attacked the city of Kiev with missiles and drones<\/strong>. According to the local newspaper Kyiv Independent<\/a>, \"The Ukrainian Air Force reported that all the projectiles were shot down, missile debris fell in at least four districts of kyiv, causing fires throughout the city<\/strong>.\"<\/em> As a result of this new Russian attack, one person was killed and twelve were injured<\/strong>. The aforementioned Ukrainian media adds the following:<\/p>\n

\"Damage to critical infrastructure left 630 residential buildings, 16 medical facilities, 17 schools, and 13 kindergartens without heating<\/strong> amid December temperatures.
\nNon-residential buildings in the Solomianskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts were also damaged by fallen debris. In the Pechersk district, a blast wave shattered precious stained glass windows of the St. Nicholas Roman Catholic church<\/strong>, the second-oldest Catholic church in Kyiv.\"<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The damaged Roman Catholic church, St. Nicholas Cathedral, was built between 1899 and 1909.<\/strong> It is a neo-Gothic building and one of the most iconic buildings in the city. UkraineWorld Espa\u00f1ol<\/a> noted this morning that this church is \"one of the few places in Ukraine, if not the only one, where you can receive religious services in Spanish<\/strong>.\"<\/em><\/p>\n

Since the start of the Russian invasion, the Putin regime has been attacking dozens of temples and religious centers in Ukraine<\/a>. So far, the most serious of these attacks took place in July 2023, when Russia destroyed the Odessa Orthodox Cathedral in a brutal missile attack<\/a>. You can see a series of images of the results of today's Russian attack here. Once again, I absolutely condemn the terrorist actions of the Putin regime.<\/strong><\/p>\n
