This helicopter joins the <strong>six NH90 Lobos already operated by the Air Force in Wing 48<\/strong>, based in Cuatro Vientos (Madrid).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54217496654_e7cf15616a_h.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54217496654_55cb0d08f1_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The most interesting thing is that with this release, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/AirbusHeli\/status\/1869766607112913074\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Airbus has shown together for the first time the three Spanish versions of the NH90<\/a>, <strong>corresponding to the Army, the Navy and the Air Force<\/strong>. We start with <strong>the first NH90 Lobo Standard 3 of the Air Force<\/strong>, with number 803-23 \u200b\u200b(corresponding to the 803 Squadron of Wing 48) and registration HD.29-23.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54217494393_a0916fc7e5_3k.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54217494393_c37849dbff_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Externally, it is easy to distinguish these versions. <strong>The Army's NH90 Sarrio are painted in three-colour camouflage,<\/strong> the usual tactical scheme of the FAMET. In turn, <strong>the Navy's NH90 is painted in light grey,<\/strong> the low visibility scheme worn by all the planes, helicopters and drones of the Aircraft Flotilla. Finally, <strong>the Air Force's NH90 Lobo are painted in medium grey,<\/strong> the usual low visibility scheme of Spanish Air Force aircraft.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54217665860_d4449c340a_3k.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54217665860_da3f8f7cea_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This Airbus delivery has been an opportunity to see <strong>the first NH90 of the Spanish Navy<\/strong>, still in the certification period before its delivery.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54216358072_f4ceaea59e_3k.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54216358072_87e97f40a9_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Spanish naval NH90s will be operated by the 14th Squadron,<\/strong> created in May, and will replace the AB-212 \"Gato\", retired from service in July of this year.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54217494363_36376f7401_3k.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54217494363_f7db1a5465_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Spanish Navy will receive seven NH90s of the MSPT version<\/strong>, a tactical transport version.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54216358107_8754dd0ca8_3k.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54216358107_f2cd5c0cab_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>One of the most innovative features of the Spanish naval NH90 is that it will have automatic folding of the rotor blades. In addition, as it is a naval version, it has reinforced landing gear compared to other versions.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54217269991_8a9590eec2_3k.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54217269991_d689c3f18a_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Spanish Armed Forces will operate a fleet of 45 NH90s:<\/strong> 26 will be operated by the Army, 12 by the Air Force and 7 by the Navy. So far, the Army has received 16 and the Air Force 7, including the one delivered yesterday.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54217269971_0f6189623c_3k.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54217269971_e8d1f17ea9_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Currently, the largest operators of the NH90 are Germany<\/strong> (80 units delivered and 140 planned), <strong>Italy<\/strong> (67 helicopters delivered and 116 planned) <strong>and France<\/strong> (66 units delivered and 135 units planned).
