The Local Police of Vigo have started the new year 2025 with a serious collision in which four people were injured.<\/p>\n

The accident occurred this afternoon on Avenida de la Gran V\u00eda, near the tunnel that passes under Plaza de Espa\u00f1a. The collision involved a Renault Kadjar from the Vigo Local Police (PL 08)<\/strong>, a vehicle acquired in 2021 by the city council to replace the old Citr\u00f6en C4 Picasso of this police force, and a private Citr\u00f6en C4<\/strong>, metallic in colour. Both cars were seriously damaged. The collision must have been brutal.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to Atl\u00e1ntico Diario<\/a>, the accident occurred when the police vehicle was driving with its emergency lights on responding to a fight. The other vehicle was driving on a cross road and collided with the local police car.<\/p>\n

The accident resulted in four injuries<\/strong>. Several ambulances, municipal cranes and a truck from the Vigo Fire Department were dispatched to the scene of the accident. The collision not only affected the cars, but also damaged a traffic light and a billboard belonging to the Vigo City Council. I wish a speedy recovery to all those injured.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Below these lines we can see another Renault Kadjar of the Vigo Local Police<\/strong>, like the vehicle involved in today's accident.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that there was already an accident in this same place in May 2022<\/a>, with a collision between an ambulance and two other vehicles. As in this case, the ambulance was destroyed.
