On January 27, 1945, 80 years ago, the Red Army arrived at Auschwitz, the largest of Nazi Germany's extermination camps.<\/p>\n

The complicity of the USSR in the extermination of Jews by the Nazis and in its concealment<\/a><\/rel>

For years, it has been common to speak of \"liberation\" to refer to this fact. Many communist propagandists have used it to whitewash the role of the USSR in the Second World War and, particularly, in the Holocaust.<\/strong> Today's communists, and at the time the Stalin dictatorship, also appeal to the extremely high number of Soviet casualties in both that war and the Holocaust.<\/p>\n

The fact is that World War II began with an alliance between Nazi Germany and the USSR<\/a> to jointly invade Poland. Under this pact, the USSR invaded Finland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and part of Romania<\/strong>, committing mass deportations and all kinds of atrocities in the invaded countries. Stalin only stood up to Hitler when Germany finally invaded the USSR<\/strong> in June 1941. Until then, the communist parties, following orders from Moscow, justified the German-Soviet invasion of Poland<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hitler's dictatorship was a criminal and genocidal regime<\/strong>, and only fanatics can deny this fact, which is proven by the horrors of the Holocaust and the countless crimes committed by the Germans in the countries they invaded. Stalin's dictatorship was also a criminal and genocidal regime<\/strong>, which caused millions of deaths.<\/a> It was his alliance with Hitler that unleashed the worst war humanity has ever suffered, and any attempt to whitewash that regime is as infamous as attempts to whitewash Nazism.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Furthermore, it must be remembered that the Auschwitz extermination camp began to be built in June 1940, when Germany and the USSR were still allies<\/strong> and while Stalin was delivering colossal quantities of grain, oil, iron ore and other raw materials to the Third Reich<\/a>, Soviet aid that served not only to contribute to its war machine, but also to grease the criminal organization that perpetrated the Holocaust.<\/p>\n
