Vladimir Putin's dictatorship continues its strategy of terror and war crimes against the civilian population of Ukraine.<\/p>\n
Russian forces launched a missile attack on a residential building in the city of Poltava<\/a>, in eastern Ukraine's Poltava Oblast, on Saturday morning. The attack partially destroyed the five-storey building<\/strong>, leaving people trapped in the rubble. Rescue efforts are still ongoing.<\/p>\n At 18:48 CET, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine announced<\/a> that 7 people have been killed in the attack and 17 others have been injured. Among the injured are 4 children, aged 3 months, 2, 8 and 12 years<\/strong>. In Kharkiv, one person was killed by a strike drone.<\/strong> In the Sumy region, this Russian attack claimed two more lives. My condolences to their families and loved ones.<\/p>\n Every such act of terror proves that we need greater support in defending against Russian terror.<\/strong> Every air defense system, every interceptor missile, means a life saved. It is crucial that our partners take action, fulfill our agreements, and increase pressure on Russia<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Since the start of the large-scale Russian aggression against Ukraine on February 24, 2022, Russian forces have been systematically attacking the Ukrainian civilian population<\/strong>, targeting residential buildings, hospitals, churches, schools, kindergartens and shopping malls. While this is going on, Russia remains a member of the UN Security Council<\/strong> and many Western countries still maintain diplomatic relations with this criminal regime.
