{"id":58743,"date":"2025-02-18T23:20:26","date_gmt":"2025-02-18T22:20:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/?p=58743"},"modified":"2025-03-07T23:14:31","modified_gmt":"2025-03-07T22:14:31","slug":"the-beautiful-city-of-budapest-seen-in-a-dizzying-flight-with-an-fpv-drone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2025\/02\/18\/the-beautiful-city-of-budapest-seen-in-a-dizzying-flight-with-an-fpv-drone\/","title":{"rendered":"The beautiful city of Budapest seen in a dizzying flight with an FPV drone"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With 1.6 million inhabitants, Budapest is one of the most populated cities in Central Europe, and also one of the most beautiful.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><rel><a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2025\/01\/04\/the-fascinating-engineering-used-to-build-and-expand-the-city-of-venice\/\">The fascinating engineering used to build and expand the city of Venice<\/a><\/rel><br \/>\n<rel><a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2023\/12\/17\/calcata-vecchia-a-beautiful-medieval-town-that-was-built-on-cliffs\/\">Calcata Vecchia, a beautiful medieval town that was built on cliffs<\/a><\/rel><\/p>\n<p>As a result, both Buda Castle and the nearby banks of the Danube were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. <strong>One of the most spectacular buildings in Hungary's capital is its Parliament,<\/strong> built between 1884 and 1902 (during the time of the Austro-Hungarian Empire) in a neo-Gothic style, following the design of the Hungarian architect Imre Steindl. <strong>Other notable buildings include St. Stephen's Basilica<\/strong>, which belongs to the Catholic Church and was built between 1851 and 1905, <strong>and St. Matthias Church,<\/strong> built in the 13th century and restored in the 19th century, which is notable for its high south tower.<\/p>\n<p>A few months ago, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@joshuaturner\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Joshua Turner<\/a> <strong>had the opportunity to film some spectacular shots of this city with an FPV drone for two days<\/strong>. We start with <strong>the formidable and enormous building of the Hungarian Parliament<\/strong>, with the Danube River to its left.
