Specifically, those that reminded me of a quote from Cyrano de Bergerac that I've always kept in mind on this blog: \"possibly not flying very high, but alone.\"<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n There are people who seem unable to understand why others of us have no desire to renounce our principles to take shelter under some tree<\/strong> whose shade might be beneficial to us. As I mentioned here two years ago<\/a>, gregariousness<\/strong>, the human tendency to group together with others, has its advantages as well as its disadvantages<\/strong>. I think most people tend to focus primarily on the advantages. I'm one of those rare types who focuses on the disadvantages, especially because of my experience in politics.<\/p>\n All this nonsense I'm telling you has to do with a news story published yesterday by Abc: \"The PP launches into Vox's anti-Trump vote to regain ground\"<\/em><\/a>. I confess that this news made me laugh, because besides being a lonely guy, the big problem I have with politicians is my good memory<\/strong>. Every time I hear the name of the Popular Party, the year 2009 jumps into my memories: it was when Alberto N\u00fa\u00f1ez Feij\u00f3o confirmed the deception to the Galicians who voted for him<\/a> with his promise of \"linguistic freedom.\"<\/p>\n It's not my favorite bird (I like sparrows better), but every time someone suggests I vote for the PP again, I become like the raven in Edgar Allan Poe's poem<\/strong>, who, sitting on the pallid bust of Pallas, repeated a single word: \"Nevermore\".<\/p>\n It's the expression that comes from my soul when someone suggests that I risk being deceived again<\/strong>, that I offer my trust to a party that has been throwing its principles overboard, adopting the ideological theses of the left on issues such as abortion, gender ideology<\/strong>, social democratic economic recipes or climate catastrophism. A PP that has been flirting with the Chinese Communist Party for years<\/a>, the sole party of the largest dictatorship in the world.<\/p>\n
