You can see the video released by the vicariate here, showing the damage inside and outside the church:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"La destrucci\u00f3n de una iglesia cristiana ortodoxa en Kostiantynivka por los rusos\" width=\"665\" height=\"374\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ObQVFt6Saw0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The attacked church belongs to the <a href=\"https:\/\/gorlovka-eparhia.com.ua\/igorevskiy-hram\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Gorlovka and Slavyansk Diocese<\/a>. <strong>Its foundation stone was laid on September 10, 2012.<\/strong> <em>\"In the spring of 2013, the church was crowned with domes, and the first prayer service was held there on October 2 of the same year, but construction continued for almost four more years,\"<\/em> the diocese said. <strong>It is a small temple, 15 meters long<\/strong>, <em>\"but at the top, its five domes shining in the sun are visible from afar\"<\/em>, the diocese noted in <a href=\"https:\/\/gorlovka-eparhia.com.ua\/igorevskiy-hram\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">its file on this church<\/a>, which showed this photo.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54434028366_b27525e657_o.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54434028366_47f5b12dc2_c.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Its golden domes are now gone.<\/strong> The Union of Orthodox Journalists <a href=\"https:\/\/spzh.eu\/en\/news\/85708-media-publish-a-photo-of-uoc-temple-in-kostiantynivka-destroyed-by-shelling\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">noted<\/a> on Friday: <em>\"as a result of shelling, <strong>the domes and roof of the church have been completely destroyed<\/strong>, and the walls have been significantly damaged.\"<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54434276263_b3c8a7c9fe_b.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54434276263_b3c8a7c9fe_c.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As you could read here on March 27, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2025\/03\/27\/russia-has-attacked-nearly-600-christian-churches-in-ukraine-what-propagandists-are-keeping-quiet-about\/\">Russia has attacked 596 Christian churches in Ukraine<\/a> from February 24, 2022 to February 2025. <strong>Most of the temples (396) were Orthodox Christians<\/strong>. The Russians have also attacked 24 Catholic Christian buildings and 176 Protestant Christian buildings, as well as 17 Jewish buildings, 8 Muslim buildings, 15 buildings of other denominations and 9 religious educational institutions, all as part of <strong>a systematic wave of attacks against the civilian population as part of a strategy of terror<\/strong> that seeks to compensate with these war crimes for Russia's lack of progress on the battlefield.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54434399295_29bbf343f7_b.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54434399295_29bbf343f7_c.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mar.in.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Report-February-2025-1.pdf\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">A report published two months ago (see PDF)<\/a> by the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture noted that <strong>Russia has attacked 642 religious buildings in Ukraine. Of these, 53 were completely destroyed<\/strong>, 97 were severely damaged, 157 were moderately damaged, and 255 were slightly damaged.
