As is traditional in the naval field, <strong>both ships have fired artillery salutes from their salute batteries<\/strong> (the \"Elcano\" battery is made up of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2013\/07\/17\/fotos-a-bordo-del-buque-escuela-a-71-juan-sebastian-de-elcano\/\">two 37 mm Baz\u00e1n RB cannons<\/a>, while the \"Esmeralda\" has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.armada.cl\/armada\/unidades-navales\/superficie\/buque-escuela\/be-43-esmeralda\/2014-04-16\/123506.html\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">4 57 mm cannons<\/a>). The events will begin this Wednesday, October 21, at the Muelle Prat in Punta Arenas.
