The Spanish socialist leader himself <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/sanchezcastejon\/status\/1909900605126037560\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">has published a video of this tribute<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-media-max-width=\"665\">\n<p lang=\"es\" dir=\"ltr\">Este a\u00f1o, Vietnam celebra el 50 aniversario de su reunificaci\u00f3n y del fin de la guerra.<\/p>\n<p>Durante mi visita a Han\u00f3i he expresado la cercan\u00eda del pueblo espa\u00f1ol con una ofrenda floral en el monumento a sus h\u00e9roes y una visita al mausoleo del presidente Ho Chi Minh. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/AnCQdTRLtl\">pic.twitter.com\/AnCQdTRLtl<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Pedro S\u00e1nchez (@sanchezcastejon) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/sanchezcastejon\/status\/1909900605126037560?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 9, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><strong>S\u00e1nchez has justified the tribute to that dictator<\/strong> with these words:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>During my visit to Hanoi, <strong>I expressed the closeness of the Spanish people<\/strong> with a floral offering at the monument to their heroes and <strong>a visit to the mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Spain is a democratic country. <strong>With this tribute to a brutal dictator, S\u00e1nchez is not expressing Spain's closeness to Vietnam, but rather his personal sympathy for a dictatorship.<\/strong> One more, in fact, since lately <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2024\/06\/01\/la-internacional-antidemocratica-de-pedro-sanchez-y-sus-fotos-amistosas-con-dictadores\/\">S\u00e1nchez has acquired the habit of approaching all kinds of dictatorships<\/a>, openly displaying his sympathy for them while here in Spain he presents himself as a great democrat. <strong>With this tribute, S\u00e1nchez has made his opinion on democracy and human rights very clear.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54441212464_8110b5a57c_o.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54441212464_f11601fbef_c.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><big>A brutal dictator whose regime killed more than a million people<\/big><\/p>\n<p>Let us remember that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2017\/12\/18\/the-more-than-100-million-deaths-that-communism-caused-divided-by-countries\/\">Ho Chi Minh was a brutal dictator whose regime killed between 1 and 3.8 million people<\/a>, depending on the source. Professor Rudolph Rummel, an American historian who taught at Indiana University, Yale University, and the University of Hawaii at Manoa, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/powerkills\/SOD.CHAP6.HTM\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">estimated that the war started by Ho Chi Minh City with his invasion of South Vietnam left 1,719,000 dead<\/a>, and that <strong>the communist dictatorship murdered 1,250,000 people in Vietnam<\/strong>, a figure that rises to 1,760,000 murdered people if the crimes of the Vietnamese dictatorship in Cambodia and Laos are counted.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54441270473_e1a5c69a53_o.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54441270473_f9841826f4_c.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><big>United by socialism<\/big><\/p>\n<p>For those who are unaware of this fact, it should be noted that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.exteriores.gob.es\/documents\/fichaspais\/vietnam_ficha%20pais.pdf\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">this undemocratic regime has the official name of \"Socialist Republic of Vietnam\"<\/a>. Coincidentally, S\u00e1nchez is currently <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20250122182629\/https:\/\/www.internacionalsocialista.org\/politicas-progresistas\/presidium-de-la-internacional-socialista\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">and <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20250122104143\/https:\/\/www.psoe.es\/conocenos\/comision-ejecutiva-federal\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">secretary general of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE). So far, S\u00e1nchez has not condemned a single socialist or communist dictatorship.
