A veto on Boeing that harms the US and also China<\/big><\/p>\n Yesterday it was revealed that the Chinese communist dictatorship has imposed a ban on the purchase of aircraft from the American company Boeing<\/a> on its companies under its control in response to the tariffs imposed by Donald Trump on products from the dictatorship. According to Airwaysmag.com<\/a>, China's three main airlines planned to receive 179 Boeing aircraft between 2025 and 2027<\/strong>. It must be said that Boeing will not be the only one affected, because as this source points out, the Chinese commercial aircraft COMAC C919<\/strong> - an alternative to Boeing and Airbus aircraft - is highly dependent on US manufacturers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n On the other hand, Chinese airlines that operate Boeing aircraft face serious maintenance problems<\/strong>, as they depend on the American company for spare parts. This could paralyze the operations of many aircraft<\/strong>, as already happened with Russia following the international sanctions imposed following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. For Airbus, this could be an opportunity<\/strong>, as it could opt to fill the large gap left by Boeing in the Chinese market, but before getting too excited, we should think a little.<\/strong><\/p>\n The methods of the Chinese communist dictatorship<\/big><\/p>\n Beijing's veto of Boeing is an example of what this communist dictatorship is willing to do to maintain its influence in the world<\/strong>. We are talking about a decision that not only seriously harms an American company (something that Beijing will care little about), but also could have serious consequences in China itself<\/strong>. Consequences that no one in that country will be able to complain about freely, since this dictatorship uses all kinds of repressive methods to prevent and punish any protest<\/strong>, as we saw in 1989 when it brought tanks onto the streets to brutally crush pro-democracy protests in Tiananmen Square<\/a>.<\/p>\n The rapprochement of Spain and Hungary with communist China<\/big><\/p>\n Beijing's revenge against Boeing should serve as a warning to some European politicians. A few days ago, I wrote here about the closeness of the Spanish socialist Pedro S\u00e1nchez and the Hungarian conservative Viktor Orb\u00e1n to the Chinese dictatorship<\/a>. Both are playing with fire by prioritizing that Asian country in their trade relations. In the case of Spain, communist China is already the largest supplier<\/a>, with sales that exceed those of the United States by 60%.<\/p>\n The European Commission also flirts with this totalitarian regime<\/big><\/p>\n Furthermore, in February the president of the European Commission, the centrist Ursula von der Leyen, decided to strengthen ties with communist China<\/a> to confront Trump. A clumsy and dangerous decision that was confirmed a few days ago with the announcement of a trip by Von der Leyen to Beijing in July<\/a> to meet with the dictator Xi Jinping.<\/p>\n Some European politicians seem to forget that the People's Republic of China is a dictatorship and acts as such,<\/strong> making decisions that could seriously harm its own people and other countries. Decisions taken by an undemocratic government appointed by a single party<\/strong> - the Communist Party of China (CPC), which has ruled mainland China since 1949 without free elections and with constant human rights violations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n An economic dependence that can end in political slavery<\/big><\/p>\n For decades now, Western countries have been making the mistake of believing that loyal relations can be established with this dictatorship<\/strong>, based on mutual benefit for both parties and leading to international relations that are beneficial to all.
