The Spanish Legion, following tradition, once again landed in the city of Malaga this morning for Holy Week.<\/p>\n

This year, the legionaires arrived in the Andalusian city aboard the P-46 maritime action vessel \"Furor\".<\/strong> The legionary units taking part in M\u00e1laga's Holy Week events are the Tercio \"Alejandro Farnesio\" 4th of the Legion<\/strong>, based in Ronda (M\u00e1laga), which provides the honor company and a squad of soldiers; the War Band of the Tercio \"Don Juan de Austria\" 3rd of the Legion<\/strong>; and the Music Unit of the Brigade \"Rey Alfonso XIII\" II of the Legion<\/strong>, the latter two based in Viator (Almer\u00eda).<\/p>\n

As in other years, in M\u00e1laga the legionaries have been involved in the transfer and enthronement of the Christ of the Good Death<\/strong>, their protector, in the Mena Brotherhood, an event that has been taking place for decades. Like last year<\/a>, this time I would like to highlight the two excellent series of photos published by the M\u00e1laga City Council (here<\/a> and here<\/a>) showing the landing of the legionaries, their parade through the streets of the city and the act of transfer and enthronement of the Christ of the Good Death.
