The Spanish left claims not to be anti-Semitic, but it consistently and perfectly meets one of the criteria for being so.<\/p>\n
Government row over bullet purchase from Israel<\/big><\/p>\n According to the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance<\/a>, one form of antisemitism is \"applying a double standard by asking Israel to behave in a way that is not expected or required of any other democratic country<\/strong>\"<\/em>. A double standard that the Spanish left applies incessantly and that has only one explanation: Israel is the only Jewish state in the world<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The latest example of this anti-Semitism is from today. Pedro S\u00e1nchez has ordered the rescission of a contract already signed with an Israeli company<\/a> for the purchase of handgun ammunition for the Civil Guard. S\u00e1nchez has done this by giving in to pressure from his communist partners in Sumar<\/strong> (the current electoral brand of the Spanish Communist Party, PCE), but the prime minister himself has been displaying clear animosity toward Israel for years.<\/p>\n Not a single complaint about the possible purchase of aircraft from T\u00fcrkiye, an ally of Hamas<\/big><\/p>\n Things change when we talk about Muslim countries<\/strong>, of which there are dozens, and a considerable portion are also dictatorships. For example, the Islamist regime in Turkey recently ordered the arrest of the opposition leader<\/a>, in a move very reminiscent of what Vladimir Putin is doing in Russia. The Spanish left said nothing.<\/strong><\/p>\n Let us also remember that the S\u00e1nchez government is planning to purchase a Turkish military aircraft, the TAI H\u00fcrjet<\/a>, to replace the Air Force's F-5BM training aircraft. Let us remember that Turkey is one of the countries that most supports Hamas terrorists<\/a>, which Turkish President Erdogan called<\/a> as \"a liberation group\" after Hamas perpetrated the largest massacre suffered by the Jewish people since the Holocaust on October 7 2023. Complaints from the Spanish left about this? Not a single one.<\/strong><\/p>\n The PCE's ties to the PFLP, classified as terrorist by the EU<\/big><\/p>\n Let us remember, in fact, that the second vice president of S\u00e1nchez's government, Yolanda D\u00edaz<\/strong>, and his Minister of Youth and Children, Sira Rego<\/strong>, belong to the PCE<\/strong>, a party sister to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP)<\/a>, which is classified by the European Union as a terrorist organization<\/strong>. In fact, the PFLP supported Hamas's terrorist attack against Israel on October 7, 2023.<\/p>\n After that attack, in January 2024 the S\u00e1nchez government authorized a PFLP march in Madrid<\/a>, a march attended by Minister Sira Rego<\/a>. These are the ones who criminalize the State of Israel, a democracy attacked by terrorists<\/strong>, while they remain silent when S\u00e1nchez decides to do business with an authoritarian regime that supports Hamas criminals. The problem for this government is not human rights: its problem is the Jews<\/strong>, whose only state it treats with profound hatred while S\u00e1nchez flirts with communist and Islamist dictatorships<\/a> that violate the most basic human rights.<\/p>\n ---<\/p>\n Photo: Efe.
