One of the United States' concerns is the security of its extensive network of diplomatic missions around the world.<\/p>\n

Currently, The United States has 273 diplomatic missions in 175 countries<\/a>. Security for U.S. embassies and consulates is assigned to the Marine Corps (USMC), but in the event of a breach, the U.S. can call upon first-tier special forces (DEVGRU and Delta) or second-tier special forces (Navy SEALs and Special Forces)<\/strong> to resolve a potential hostage situation or a violent siege of those buildings. <\/p>\n

This Sunday, the USMC released a video<\/a> and a series of photos<\/a> of a joint exercise between the U.S. Marine Corps' (USMC) Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One<\/strong> (MAWTS-1) and the U.S. Army's 3rd Special Forces Group<\/strong> (Airborne) at a simulated embassy in Deuce Village, Yuma, Arizona, as part of the 2-25 Weapons and Tactics Instructor Course.
