This large dam has a height of 115 meters, a crest length of 402 meters, and a capacity of 430,000 cubic meters.<\/p>\n<p>As has happened with many reservoirs, <strong>the expansion of the Castelo do Bode Dam in the 1980s submerged a village<\/strong>, whose inhabitants were relocated. In addition to the houses that were submerged when the dam opened in 1951, <a href=\"https:\/\/monumentosdesaparecidos.blogspot.com\/2010\/02\/antiga-ponte-vale-da-ursa-albufeira-de.html\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a bridge, the Vale da Ursa bridge<\/a>, opened in 1885 over the Z\u00eazere River and featuring granite pillars and a metal deck, with a height of 20 meters, was also submerged.<\/p>\n<p>This Sunday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@BrosOfDecay\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bros Of Decay<\/a><strong> published a video showing their dive into that reservoir to explore that town and that bridge<\/strong>, which have practically been forgotten:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"We Accidentally Found a Abandoned Ghost Town at the Bottom of a Lake!\" width=\"665\" height=\"374\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/g5IhIUuoLJE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>You can see some screenshots from this video here.
