The 1969 aircraft had civilian registration EC-FLZ and <strong>was flying an ambulance service for TASISA, with four people on board: the pilot and three passengers.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, <strong>the aircraft crashed in the Sierra de los Camarolos mountain range<\/strong> after failing to gain altitude sufficient to clear some cliffs. All occupants died. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baaa-acro.com\/sites\/default\/files\/2020-11\/EC-FLZ.pdf\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the official accident report (see PDF)<\/a>, <strong>there were low clouds at the time of the accident<\/strong>, which may have contributed to the confusion that led to the tragic end of the EC-FLZ.<\/p>\n<p>This afternoon, the excellent YouTube channel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@AventurasEntresierras\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Aventuras Entresierras<\/a> (which I recommend subscribing to if you enjoy urban exploration, nature, and bivouacs) <strong>published an interesting video exploring the accident area and searching for remains of the EC-FLZ<\/strong>.
