Amid corruption scandals affecting the Socialist Party (PSOE), Pedro S\u00e1nchez continues to refuse to resign.<\/p>\n
The socialist leader clings to power and does not take responsibility for corruption.<\/big><\/p>\n In a new press conference held this afternoon (the video can be seen here<\/a>), S\u00e1nchez limited himself to announcing some changes in the party and a parliamentary commission of inquiry<\/strong> into socialist corruption, which will of course be controlled by the PSOE and its partners to issue the conclusions they like.<\/p>\n In addition to buying time in this way, S\u00e1nchez has once again insisted on rejecting early elections<\/strong> and has even criticized the opposition for accusing him of clinging to power, when that is precisely what he is doing. The Socialist leader has also resorted to playing the victim once again<\/strong>, claiming that there is a campaign against him. Curiously, this is the same argument the Socialists have been using for months to deny the cases of corruption within their party and within S\u00e1nchez's entourage, cases that have finally been confirmed.<\/p>\n S\u00e1nchez doesn't believe the manipulated CIS polls<\/big><\/p>\n S\u00e1nchez's refusal to give the Spanish people a voice to decide whether they maintain their confidence in him<\/strong>, after the judicial indictment of his wife, his brother, his attorney general and one of his former ministers, contrasts with the data from the Center for Sociological Research (CIS), controlled by the socialist Jos\u00e9 F\u00e9lix Tezanos<\/strong> and which has been issuing surveys clearly favorable to the socialists, which do not agree with any opinion polls issued by private polling companies and which have been the subject of numerous criticisms.<\/p>\n Last week the PSOE gave the PSOE a sufficient majority to govern<\/big><\/p>\n Just a few days ago<\/strong>, Tezanos' CIS gave the PSOE more support than in the 2023 general elections<\/a>, a result with no credibility. If the CIS data were credible, S\u00e1nchez should have no problem calling new elections since it would expand the support he has to govern<\/strong> and could even reduce his dependence on some of his separatist partners.<\/p>\n The press conference given today by the socialist leader makes clear what he thinks of these falsified polls: Not even S\u00e1nchez himself believes the lies of the CIS<\/strong> after wasting 56 million euros on that public body<\/a>, an expenditure that far exceeds that of previous governments and that only has one explanation: the use of the CIS as a propaganda tool to boost the socialists by inflating its results<\/strong>. It is yet another example of the systematic corruption that exists under the umbrella of this government.<\/p>\n ---<\/p>\n
