From June 17 to July 7, the Spanish Navy carried out the second deployment of its \"D\u00e9dalo 2025\" Expeditionary Combat Group.<\/p>\n

\nThe Spanish Marine Infantry will receive 34 new amphibious combat vehicles<\/a><\/rel><\/p>\n

The Defense Staff (EMAD) reported this Monday<\/a> that this deployment, D\u00e9dalo 25-2, has taken place in the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean<\/strong>, as well as in live-fire training areas in Croatia, Slovakia and Romania. The deployment included the participation of 1,850 sailors and the aircraft carrier \"Juan Carlos I\" L-61<\/strong>, the frigate \"Blas de Lezo\" F-103<\/strong> and the combat supply ship (BAC) \"Cantabria\" A-15<\/strong> and the landing craft LCM-1E of the Beach Naval Group<\/strong>, in addition to the participation in some exercises of the submarine \"Isaac Peral\" S-81<\/strong>, the amphibious assault ships (BAA) \"Galicia\" L-51 and \"Castilla\" L-52<\/strong> and the frigate \"Santa Mar\u00eda\" F-81<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

The Marine Infantry<\/strong> has contributed to this Expeditionary Combat Group its Second Landing Battalion<\/strong> of the Marine Infantry Brigade \"Tercio de Armada\" (TEAR).<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

In addition, the Aircraft Fleet (FLOAN)<\/strong> has participated with its EAV-8B+ Harrier II<\/strong> Plus combat aircraft from the 9th Squadron, SH-60B Seahawk<\/strong> helicopters from the 10th Squadron, SH-60F Seahawk<\/strong> from the 5th Squadron and H-135 P3H Nival<\/strong> from the 12th Squadron.<\/p>\n

Interestingly, the two Harrier II Plus aircraft already on the flight deck carry AGM-65 Maverick air-to-surface missiles, one each: the first on the port wing and the second on the starboard wing.
