Today I had the opportunity to see \"Fantastic Four: First Steps,\" a film based on the famous \"Fantastic Four\" comics.<\/p>\n

This Marvel superhero group, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1961, is already a classic but hasn't had much luck with its film adaptations<\/strong>. In 1994, Constantin Film made a low-budget film based on them that never even made it to theaters. Tim Story had more luck with \"Fantastic Four\" (2005) and \"Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer\" (2007)<\/strong>, but critics weren't exactly kind to either of them. But it did have the 2015 reboot directed by Josh Trank<\/a>, which was literally crushed by critics and fans of that comic book series.<\/p>\n

\"The Fantastic Four: First Steps\" is directed by American filmmaker Jon Watts<\/strong>, who directed the last three Spider-Man films released by Marvel Studios and starring Tom Holland. This time we have Pedro Pascal<\/strong> (famous for his leading role in the series \"The Mandalorian\") in the role of Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby<\/strong> (the White Widow from the last \"Mission: Impossible\" films) in the role of Invisible Woman, Ebon Moss-Bachrach<\/strong> playing the role of The Thing and Joseph Quinn<\/strong> in the role of Human Torch.<\/p>\n

To tell the truth, the film pleasantly surprised me.<\/strong> The style connects strongly with classic comics, as does its retro-futuristic setting (I particularly liked this feature). But what caught my attention most was the message.<\/strong> Disney has been making the mistake of introducing \"woke\" ideology into its films for years, reaping increasingly poor results, not only because of the message itself, but because it becomes an obsession that ends up ruining the quality of the films.<\/p>\n

This feature film seems to represent a clear change in trend.<\/strong> Not only are there no nods to the ideological left, but there seems to be a return to Disney's original values. The film has a magnificent pro-family message, and there is also a scene that is purely pro-life.<\/strong> Something like this would have been unthinkable in a Disney film a few years ago, but it seems things are finally changing. I would have thought the film was good without those positive moments,<\/strong> and with them, it seemed even better. So, I recommend it to you.<\/strong> Here's the trailer:<\/p>\n
