This afternoon, news broke of the arrest of 22-year-old Tyler Robinson for the murder of Charlie Kirk<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The murder of Charlie Kirk and the vile leftist bias of some media outlets<\/a><\/rel>

According to published reports, Robinson confessed the crime to his father<\/a> and his father handed him over to the authorities. The detainee is the eldest of three siblings<\/strong> and, judging by the information and images being circulated, he grew up in a well-off, happy family.<\/strong> Regarding the political motive for the crime, it is now beyond doubt, since bullets used by Robinson with leftist messages were found<\/a>.<\/p>\n

So, this horrendous crime ends with a murdered man<\/strong> (a man whose \"crime\" was having opinions different from the dogmas of the left and defending them with his words) and two families destroyed, that of the murdered man and that of the murderer.<\/strong> I am unable to understand what can lead someone not only to murder another person because they don't like their opinions, but also to the mere fact of attacking and threatening those who have different ideas. I don't understand how someone can reach that level of hatred<\/strong>, to the point of dehumanizing others because they don't agree with their ideology and justifying their murder.<\/p>\n

For years I have received many threats, some of them death threats<\/strong>, from people who do not accept that I have the right to express my ideas freely simply because they do not coincide with theirs. Ironically, many of these threats accused me of being a \"fascist\" for disagreeing with the left<\/strong>, perhaps without stopping to consider that the closest thing to fascism there is in our society is that leftist fanaticism that believes it has the right to point out, censor, threaten, attack and even murder those who disagree<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

I've been publishing this blog for 21 years, defending my liberal-conservative views through words<\/strong>, peaceful means, and criticizing those who justify violence for political ends, regardless of their ideology. I defend democracy, freedom, a limited state, Western civilization, and political pluralism<\/strong>, and I have repeatedly expressed my rejection of all forms of totalitarianism. According to some, this is considered \"fascist.\"<\/p>\n

For decades, a left has been forming in the West that doesn't tolerate dissent, that dehumanizes those who have a different opinion<\/strong>, that manifests a morbid hatred against all those who express opinions that don't coincide with its ideological dogmas, and that now even demonizes the victim of a murder and even justifies the crime<\/strong>. But the \"fascists\" are the rest of us.<\/p>\n

Throughout the civilized world, those guilty of a crime are not only those who actually commit it, but also those who instigate it.<\/strong> A terrorist who plants a bomb is just as guilty as the extremist who indoctrinated that terrorist, telling him that he is justified in murdering other people simply because they hold an ideology, religion, or philosophy he doesn't like. Who has fueled the hatred of leftist Tyler Robinson, the murderer of Charlie Kirk, for years?<\/strong> Who has been putting it into that young man's head that using violence against those who disagree with him is legitimate?<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, a large part of the media left is practicing genuine informational terrorism<\/strong> that far exceeds mere political activism. It's no longer enough for them to characterize those who disagree with them as bad people: now they're even whitewashing a murder by demonizing the victim<\/strong>. That's not journalism. It's doing what the newspaper Egin did decades ago: pointing out future targets for any Tyler Robinson willing to threaten, attack, and even kill a dissenter<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

I would like there to be some reflection on this extremist drift within the left, because I know that there are many people on the left who do not share this way of seeing things<\/strong> (I have friends who hold these ideological positions and I have never had any problems relating to them, because what matters to me, above their ideas, is that they are good people). I hope that these people manage to expose the irrationality of left-wing extremists<\/strong>, in the same way that some of us criticize the irrationality of right-wing extremists (of which there are also some). If the extreme left continues down this path, it will end up pushing us into a civil war<\/strong>, as it did in Spain in 1936, with the assassination of right-wing deputy Jos\u00e9 Calvo Sotelo<\/a>. And in a civil war, not only would two families be destroyed, but many on both sides. Is that what some people are looking for?<\/strong><\/p>\n
