The Spanish Navy has become the center of international public attention today due to a highly controversial government decision.<\/p>\n

Yesterday, the president of the government announced the dispatch of a Spanish Navy ship<\/a> to protect the Sumud Global Flotilla, \"in case it was necessary to assist the flotilla or carry out any type of rescue\"<\/em>. The ship sent is the maritime action vessel (BAM) \"Furor\" P-46<\/strong>, an offshore patrol vessel launched on September 8, 2017, and belonging to the Navy's Maritime Action Force (FAM). The announcement is clearly a new smokescreen to cover up the corruption scandals affecting the government<\/a>, a distraction launched, in fact, hours before it was learned that S\u00e1nchez's wife, Bego\u00f1a G\u00f3mez, will be tried by a jury for an alleged crime of embezzlement.<\/p>\n

The government's campaign against Israel has intensified alongside news of these corruption scandals. It's worth asking to what extent the Spanish government is coordinating this action with other governments<\/strong>, and not just those of European Union member states. It is compromising the international prestige of our Navy and the image of Spain<\/strong>, and it's only fair to know who they have been able to discuss this issue with in order to make such a decision.<\/p>\n

Before that announcement there was a meeting between the Spanish government and Iran<\/big><\/p>\n

Coincidentally, yesterday morning the Iranian Embassy in Spain reported<\/a> about a meeting between Spanish Foreign Minister Jos\u00e9 Manuel Albares and Seyed Abbas Araghchi<\/strong>, the Iranian regime's Foreign Minister, a meeting held \"within the framework of his visit to New York to participate in the session of the United Nations General Assembly\"<\/em>. This meeting was also reported by the website of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs<\/a>, showing a photo of the meeting. On YouTube, Iran Monitor broadcast this short, silent video of the meeting on September 23<\/a>, so the meeting could have taken place on Tuesday:<\/p>\n
