Because yes, communism turned out to be big business for the communist elite. Mediocre types became immensely rich at the expense of plunging their people into misery.<\/strong> The examples have been repeated to this day: Hugo Ch\u00e1vez stole billions from Venezuelans<\/a> while leading his country to levels of misery never seen before there. Something similar happened with other charlatans<\/strong> like Fidel Castro<\/a> and Nicol\u00e1s Maduro<\/a>. But they all look like beggars next to Stalin, the richest European in history after Caesar Augustus<\/a>.<\/p>\n The case of Pablo Iglesias Turri\u00f3n<\/big><\/p>\n It's impossible not to think of those charlatans when listening to a guy like Pablo Iglesias Turri\u00f3n<\/strong>. Yesterday, at an event for his communist party, Podemos, that guy called for \"busting the Spanish right\" and added: \"But to do that, you have to have guts.\"<\/a> Reading this, he seems to be two news broadcasts away from starting to prescribe shots in the back of the head<\/strong>. Of course, in case some idiot has believed this harangue that seems to have come from an overdose of testosterone, it should be noted that it will not be him who will get his hands dirty: in any case, he will send his butler to do the job<\/strong>, or perhaps some idiot willing to \"bust\" right-wingers because he is annoyed by people who contradict the left.<\/p>\n From an apartment in Vallecas to a luxury villa in Galapagar<\/big><\/p>\n In September 2015, Pablo Iglesias showed Telecinco his modest 60-square-meter apartment in Vallecas<\/a>. It was a propaganda operation that captured many dreamers.<\/strong> Three months later, in the general elections of December 20, 2015, Podemos won 69 deputies and 9 senators<\/a> and Pablo Iglesias landed in Congress<\/strong>, receiving a salary of 69,515.18 euros per year<\/a>. The deal had been a profitable one, and the results were about to be known. After spending years ranting against \"the caste\"<\/a>, in 2018 Iglesias and his partner, fellow Podemos MP Irene Montero<\/strong>, moved into a luxurious villa in Galapagar<\/a>. It was one of the reasons why Podemos began to deflate: in April 2019 it won 33 seats in Congress<\/a> and without any senators, and a few months later it reduced and was left with 26 seats in Congress<\/a>.<\/p>\n Despite this, the PSOE and Podemos reached an agreement to govern together in January 2020<\/a>. Pablo Iglesias became vice president of the government and his partner, Irene Montero, was appointed Minister of Equality<\/strong>, giving rise to many suspicious thinks that she was not there precisely because of her merits. Thus, Iglesias, who in 2012 got turned on watching left-wing extremists kicking police officers<\/a>, began to have a police escort even after leaving the government<\/a>. His spiel about \"the caste\" had vanished a long time ago, as it no longer fooled anyone. One day, Iglesias ran into Santiago Abascal, president of Vox, and other members of that party in the Congress elevator.<\/strong> The right-wing deputy was on crutches after suffering an accident. It was a good opportunity to display the lack of scruples that the communist agitator prescribed yesterday, but instead, Iglesias was very affable and recommended a physiotherapist to Abascal:<\/strong><\/p>\n
