Last Sunday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCj_jthkVBMBEs4H26-wM4wA\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">V1 Aeronautics<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCclxtrdZT1FmVYCRLG3St3A\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Asociaci\u00f3n Aire<\/a> <strong>published an excellent video showing part of this fleet of FAMET helicopters<\/strong> at their Coronel Mat\u00e9 Base in Colmenar Viejo (Madrid), on the occasion of the rehearsals for the air parade on October 12:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"EL PODER A\u00c9REO DEL EJ\u00c9RCITO ESPA\u00d1OL \u2013 FAMET EN ACCI\u00d3N\" width=\"665\" height=\"374\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MhvsO5H1UDE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>You can see some screenshots here in which I indicate the helicopters that appear in the video and their units.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54870826619_27067fc9d1_o.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54870826619_1913401b59_c.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In this image we see <strong>an EC-665 Tigre attack helicopter<\/strong> (left) and <strong>an NH-90 transport helicopter<\/strong>. The 24 EC-665 Tigres of the FAMET are assigned to the Attack Helicopter Battalion I (BHELA I), based in Almagro (Ciudad Real). <strong>The model seen here is the Tigre HAD-E<\/strong> (Attack and Destruction Helicopter), armed with two Spike ER anti-tank missiles, two 70 mm SNEB rocket launchers (with a capacity for seven rockets each) and an external fuel tank. The 16 <strong>NH-90s<\/strong> (the fleet will eventually have 26 units) of the FAMET are assigned to the Manoeuvre Helicopter Battalion III (BHELMA III), based in Agoncillo (La Rioja).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54870811958_00ac648139_o.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54870811958_1f216d7dcc_c.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>An EC-135 T2+ utility helicopter.<\/strong> The FAMET has 16 helicopters of this type, 12 of which (the so-called HE.26) are assigned to the Army Aviation Academy (ACAVIET), based in Colmenar Viejo (Madrid), as training helicopters.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54870847248_b15232a162_o.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54870847248_a091c5027a_c.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Another EC-135 T2+ helicopter<\/strong>, in this case one of the four units designated as HU.26 and operated by the Second Emergency Helicopter Battalion (BHELEME II) from Colmenar Viejo and flying under the operational command of the Military Emergency Unit (UME). They are used in transport, air command post, and rescue missions. They are recognizable by their striking red and yellow livery.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54870577956_0ece58ef2f_o.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54870577956_4b03e74e74_c.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>The CH-47F Chinook is the largest helicopter in the FAMET<\/strong> and also the largest military helicopter operated by Spain. It is a heavy transport helicopter. The FAMET has 17 units, recently upgraded from the Delta version to the Foxtrot version, and is awaiting one more. They are part of the 5th Transport Helicopter Battalion (BHELTRA V), based in Colmenar Viejo.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54870826609_5b3725757f_o.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54870826609_12af85e77a_c.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>At the end of the video we see <strong>an AS-332 Super Puma medium transport helicopter<\/strong> from the FAMET Headquarters Battalion (BCGFAMET) in Colmenar Viejo.
