Recently, the Anti-War Committee of Russia<\/a> (an organization created in February 2022 by Russian opponents of Putin's dictatorship and the Russian invasion of Ukraine) held a meeting in Brussels with prominent figures from the Russian exile community<\/strong>. This meeting included a panel discussion entitled \"Joining Forces: Helping Ukraine and Strengthening European Security,\" which \"brought together journalists, priests, activists, and researchers<\/strong> \u2014all those who face the consequences of Russian propaganda on a daily basis and seek ways to counter it\"<\/em>, as the committee announced yesterday<\/a>. Reading today's report on this panel, I came across this that the committee has published on its Telegram channel<\/a>:<\/p>\n \"Spain, coincidentally, was one of the most frequently mentioned countries on the panel: three participants live and work there:<\/strong> Father Andrei Kordochkin, journalist Andrei Kalitin, and activist Alexei Nesterenko. Each of them observes from within how Russian propaganda operates in Europe, and all three have their own perspective.<\/p>\n Alexei Nesterenko, from Rusos Libres (Spain), presented a paper detailing how the Kremlin is building an infrastructure of influence through cultural and \"social\" organizations.<\/strong> He compiled evidence that European children are sent to the Artek camp in Crimea, where \"heroes of the SVO\" recount their \"heroic exploits\" and provide military instruction. Cossack groups operate in Europe; many of their members have been fighting in Russia since 2014<\/strong>, but they continue to live peacefully in the EU. Activists' complaints about sanctions violations receive the same response: there are sanctions, but there are no consequences for circumventing them.<\/strong><\/p>\n Andrei Kalitin, author of the \"Poor Rurik\" channel, added that radicals and nationalists in Europe readily adopt the Kremlin's narrative. He cited cases in Spain where peace activists were monitored and propagandists acted openly<\/strong>, adding that this goes beyond propaganda, as in the case of the assassination of pilot Maxim Kuzminov in Alicante. \"This is clearly a systematic effort by the security services, and without support<\/strong>, without integration into the media and European politics, we will not be able to counter it,\"<\/em> he stated.<\/p>\n Father Andrei Kordochkin (of the \"Peace for All\" project), against whom a whole operation was launched to expel him from Spain<\/strong>, recalled that ideological expansion is not a side effect, but one of the ways to legitimize power in Russia.\"<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n On June 28, the newspaper El Espa\u00f1ol published a story about Andrei Kordochkin<\/a>, denouncing the \"hunt\" suffered by this anti-war Russian Orthodox priest to the point of having to leave Spain<\/strong>. Today he is in exile in Germany with his wife and children, after leaving the Russian Orthodox Patriarchate and joining the Patriarchate of Constantinople in 2023. The El Espa\u00f1ol article stated the following:<\/p>\n \"Kordochkin refused to endorse the aggression against Ukraine and paid for it.<\/strong> As soon as his voice was raised against the war, the Kremlin launched a ruthless campaign of defamation and harassment against him<\/strong>. And at the forefront of this witch hunt was Victoria Samoylova, a propagandist residing in Spain, born on September 18, 1982, in Podporozhye (Leningrad region).\"<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n In May 2022, I already pointed out here that Pedro S\u00e1nchez decapitated the National Intelligence Center (CNI) to appease Putin's puppets in Spain<\/a>, and I wasn't referring to mere propagandists who publish messages on social networks like Twitter, but to political parties allied with the socialist government<\/a>. Parties that put a price on their support for S\u00e1nchez to remain in power, a price that has included the erasure of Russian interference in Spain during the 2017 separatist coup in Catalonia<\/a>, an erasure included in the infamous amnesty granted by S\u00e1nchez to his separatist allies, who received an offer of military and economic support for part of Russia to break the unity of Spain, as the Civil Guard was able to verify.<\/p>\n It's logical to ask: what are the government and the CNI doing now against Russian influence networks in Spain?<\/strong> It seems little or nothing. In some cases, it even appears they are encouraging them. Just recall what I pointed out a few weeks ago about the presence on RTVE, a channel controlled by the socialist government, of<\/strong> a well-known admirer of Stalin who openly supports Putin's dictatorship<\/a>. All this in a media outlet paid for by all taxpayers.<\/p>\n In February I already warned here that Russian propaganda in Spain could affect our territorial integrity<\/a>, since it promotes anti-Western theses and hoaxes that could favor the interests of countries like Morocco<\/strong> in their aspirations to seize the Spanish cities of Ceuta and Melilla. Let us recall that Morocco is helping Russia circumvent European sanctions by reselling Russian oil<\/a>. In April 2023, I already denounced here that the S\u00e1nchez government knew the origin of that oil and remained silent<\/a>.
