The Prime Minister of Hungary has long been feigning a pacifist stance on the Russian invasion of Ukraine.<\/p>\n
In reality, Orb\u00e1n has been aligning himself with the Kremlin for years.<\/strong> In June 2023, he even denied Ukraine's national sovereignty<\/a>. Yesterday, he went a step further during a press conference in Brussels. You can see the full video here<\/a> broadcast by MTVA's M1 channel, Hungary's public television, controlled by Orb\u00e1n's government. Of course, Orb\u00e1n is lying: he knows perfectly well that there is a war in Ukraine because Russia invaded that country<\/strong>, but since the Hungarian prime minister is a close friend of Vladimir Putin, he uses a lie to pretend he hasn't noticed anything and to favor the aggressor, which is Putin's dictatorship.<\/p>\n I think it's high time we spoke plainly: What Orb\u00e1n is doing is not promoting the cause of peace, but rather siding with the invader<\/strong> to try to force Ukraine to surrender and allow Moscow to profit from its war. Putin ordered this invasion because he wants to rebuild the USSR, a communist dictatorship that invaded neighboring countries<\/strong>, violating their national sovereignty, destroying their freedoms, and deporting and murdering their citizens. What kind of patriot and conservative can align themselves with a tyrant who has such aims?<\/strong><\/p>\n ---<\/p>\n
