Counting Stars turns 21 years with the same freedom and some changes in sight<\/a><\/rel>
\nDoes an independent blog like Counting Stars still make sense today?<\/a><\/rel><\/p>\n

We're in the final hours of 2025 and a new year is already upon us. After 21 years, this blog is quite predictable (and I'm proud of it), so I don't think you'll find any surprises in my purposes for the next 12 months:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Continue defending the right to life and human dignity<\/strong>, especially in the face of crimes such as abortion and euthanasia, whose social acceptance is a disgrace to our time. This defense will remain uncompromising and unequivocal.<\/li>\n
  2. Continue defending the unity of Spain, democracy and the rule of law<\/strong>, seriously threatened by the most sectarian, authoritarian and corrupt government in our democratic history.<\/li>\n
  3. Continue defending freedom against those who attack it<\/strong>, especially freedom of education, religious freedom, ideological freedom, linguistic freedom, freedom of information, freedom of expression and economic freedom in the face of the constant attacks and threats they suffer.<\/li>\n
  4. Continue to denounce Christianophobia and anti-Semitism<\/strong>, two scourges that have caused serious massacres in the last century and that are resurfacing with particular force today, also in the West.<\/li>\n
  5. Continue to denounce the abuses of power by rulers<\/strong>, whatever their ideology or party, at the national and international level, and continue to defend a limited State<\/strong> that puts effective brakes on those abuses.<\/li>\n
  6. Continue to denounce totalitarianism, both nazism and communism<\/strong>, anti-democratic and criminal movements that have murdered millions of people, and also Islamic extremism<\/strong>, which today is one of the greatest threats to Western civilization.<\/li>\n
  7. Continue defending Christian values, Western civilization and liberal-conservatism<\/strong> and to continue supporting political and social initiatives that coincide in that defense, from the strictest independence of Counting Stars.<\/li>\n
  8. Continue defending the cause of Ukraine<\/strong> against the large-scale Russian invasion that began in 2022, a just cause that demands the liberation of all territories invaded and occupied by Vladimir Putin's dictatorship, which has become a serious threat to peace in Europe.<\/li>\n
  9. Continue defending the State of Israel<\/strong>, the only real democracy in the Middle East, which has been constantly fighting for its survival since its founding, and which now also suffers a campaign of hatred and slander after suffering in 2023 the biggest anti-Semitic massacre since the Holocaust.<\/li>\n
  10. Continue defending and advocating for a Nation I admire, Poland<\/strong>, a country that for the last century has been a reference point for those of us who reject totalitarianism and for those of us who defend the Christian roots of Europe, and which now faces a great threat because of Russian imperialism.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    I wish you all that 2026 makes your best wishes come true<\/strong> and that we can still be reading each other in a year's time.<\/p>\n
