Iran is experiencing a new wave of protests against the Islamist dictatorship of Ali Khamenei, the successor of the sinister Ruhollah Khomeini.<\/p>\n
That anti-democratic regime is resorting to violence to repress these protests, as is its custom. Once again, it is curious to observe the silence of many in the West<\/strong>, especially the lack of commentary on these protests and this repression from those who boast of being feminists, defenders of the LGBT community, and secularists<\/strong>, constantly bombarding us with such rhetoric in a West where there is more equality and religious freedom than anywhere else in the world, yet they never criticize a radically misogynistic Islamic theocratic regime that hangs homosexuals<\/strong>.<\/p>\n What are the causes of this complicit silence? Economic causes cannot be ruled out: money buys many favors<\/strong>, and Iran is one of the world's leading oil producers, so its dictatorship has the resources to finance unscrupulous propagandists beyond its borders. However, we must not dismiss ideological causes either. The Iranian dictatorship is a staunch enemy of the West, and that is why a segment of the left remains silent in the face of its crimes:<\/strong> because the Iranian ayatollahs have been their strategic allies in their campaign of hatred against Western culture, and the far left has already proven to be full of shameless and unscrupulous people.<\/p>\n There are also geopolitical reasons: the Iranian dictatorship is a close ally of the dictatorships of Russia, China, and Venezuela<\/strong> \u2014anti-democratic regimes that have many supporters among the Western far left. To this we must add a fact even more influential for many: Khamenei's dictatorship is a staunch enemy of the United States and Israel<\/strong>, two democracies for which the far left harbors a pathological hatred, one that drives it to embrace any criminal regime that opposes these two countries. It is this hatred that explains why Pedro S\u00e1nchez's socialist government has contacts with Iran but not with Israel<\/a>.<\/p>\n Related to the above is a hatred shared by many. The Iranian dictatorship is one of the world's greatest promoters of antisemitism.<\/strong> Its hatred of the Jewish people and the only Jewish state has led it to fund Islamist terrorist groups like Hezbollah and Hamas, the criminal organization that perpetrated the genocidal attack of October 7, 2013, against Israel<\/strong>, the largest massacre suffered by the Jewish people since the Holocaust, an orgy of crime and terror that tortured, murdered, and atrociously raped men, women, children, and babies simply for being Jewish<\/strong>.<\/p>\n That antisemitism,<\/strong> which had Tsarism and National Socialism as its main promoters in the 20th century, is today one of the strongest (and most odious) causes of the strategic alliance between the extreme left and Islamism<\/strong>, who are the new Nazis of the 21st century. This hatred of Jews is the reason why the Western far left not only failed to condemn Hamas's genocidal attack against Israel, but even justified it<\/strong>, showing more sympathy for terrorist murderers than for unarmed civilians whose only \"crime\" was being Jewish.<\/p>\n If Iran were a democratic country with a Jewish majority, any excuse would suffice for demonstrations against it in the West today<\/strong>, just as there have been demonstrations because Israel refused to be killed by Hamas terrorists and responded to their attack with a campaign to free those kidnapped by Hamas, in one of the urban wars with the lowest proportion of civilian deaths in history<\/a>, despite the misinformation spread by some. But Iran is an Islamist dictatorship, and that changes everything for the antisemitic left and its Muslim allies.<\/strong> That is why we do not see them, nor will we ever see them, demonstrating against the crimes of that dictatorship.<\/p>\n ---<\/p>\n
