This excellent film featured a magnificent soundtrack composed by Alan Silvestri. <strong>One of the best moments in the film is when its protagonist decides to start running without any clear goal.<\/strong> He ended up running for 1,170 days and 16 hours.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Forrest Gump runs across America for 1170 days and 16 hours\" width=\"665\" height=\"374\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/187trX0mo1o?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>This race takes you through some beautiful locations in the United States<\/strong>. This part of the film ends with a stunning shot of Route 163 in Utah, with Monument Valley in the background.<\/p>\n<div class=\"foto_piedefoto\"><a href=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/55038406989_4c8d3b3755_o.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/55038406989_1844960f0b_c.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"piedefoto\">The location where the race finish was filmed: Route 163 in Utah next to Monument Valley (Photo: <a href=\"https:\/\/commons.wikimedia.org\/wiki\/File:Forrest_Gump_Point_Monument_Valley_November_2018_001.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">King of Hearts<\/a>).<\/div>\n<p>I'm a big fan of maritime lighthouses, so <strong>one of my favorite places on this race is the Marshall Point Lighthouse<\/strong>, built in 1832 in Port Clyde, Maine, in the northeastern United States. <strong>The lighthouse's beacon is still in use today<\/strong>, as is its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2017\/11\/09\/this-is-how-a-foghorn-sounds\/\">foghorn<\/a>. As you can see, the race was extremely long. <a href=\"https:\/\/carreraspopulares.com\/noticia\/por-que-forrest-gump-es-un-icono-del-running\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">In 2013, a journalist estimated that Forrest Gump would have run about 30,000 km<\/a>, averaging 25 km per day.<\/p>\n<div class=\"foto_piedefoto\"><a href=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/55038495500_e2257a301f_o.png\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/55038495500_7efb6e515a_c.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"piedefoto\">A map with all the locations of the famous \"Forrest Gump\" race (Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/travegeo.com\/Forrest_Gump\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">travegeo.com<\/a>).<\/div>\n<p><strong>Today, those locations have become a magnet for many fans of that film.<\/strong> Some even run through them dressed in outfits like the ones Forrest Gump wore in the famous movie.
