The company is headquartered in Elche (Alicante) and has facilities in Teruel, Huelva, and French Guiana. As you may recall, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2023\/10\/08\/the-launch-of-the-miura-1-the-first-spanish-space-rocket-from-different-angles\/\">in October 2023, PLD Space launched the first Spanish space rocket, the Miura 1<\/a>, achieving a true milestone within reach of very few private companies worldwide.<\/p>\n<div class=\"foto_piedefoto\"><a href=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53242938377_fdee4d050c_b.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53242938377_fdee4d050c_c.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"piedefoto\">The Miura 1 rocket (Photo: PLD Space).<\/div>\n<p><strong>PLD Space is currently working on the Miura 5, Spain's first two-stage space rocket.<\/strong> It will be 35.7 meters long and 2 meters in diameter and will have two stages. <strong>The first stage will be equipped with five TEPREL-C engines with a thrust of 190 kN each<\/strong> (the powerful Eurojet EJ200 engine of a Eurofighter generates a thrust of 89.9 kN in afterburner).<\/p>\n<div class=\"foto_piedefoto\"><a href=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54936635780_506fd86db1_o.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54936635780_700920263d_c.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"piedefoto\">The first qualification model (QM1) of the Miura 5 rocket (Photo: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pldspace.com\/news\/pld-space-desvela-la-primera-unidad-de-calificacion-de-miura-5.html\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">PLD Space<\/a>).<\/div>\n<p><strong>The presentation of this rocket is scheduled for the first quarter of 2026<\/strong>.
