Despite the brutal repression unleashed by the Islamist dictatorship, popular protests against the regime in Iran continue.<\/p>\n
The extreme violence used by the dictatorship to crush these protests has already resulted in figures worthy of a war. Iran International reported yesterday that more than 36,500 people have been killed in \"the biggest street massacre in history.\"<\/a> \"Information received by Iran International presents a clearer pattern of repression, the geographical reach of the conflicts, and the behavior of the security forces, revealing extrajudicial killings, the use of live ammunition against the wounded, and direct intervention by security forces in medical facilities<\/strong>,\"<\/em> the London-based Persian media outlet stated.<\/p>\n Iran International has denounced what it calls \"a widespread and planned crime that requires international registration, documentation, and monitoring<\/strong>.\"<\/em> This outlet adds the following regarding the death toll from this brutal wave of repression:<\/p>\n \"A report submitted to the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Islamic Consultative Assembly<\/strong> on Wednesday, February 1, listed the death toll at at least 27,500<\/strong>.<\/p>\n According to information received by Iran International from reliable sources within the Ministry of the Interior of the Islamic Republic<\/strong>, the death toll has exceeded 30,000<\/strong>, based on statistics received from provincial supply councils as of Tuesday, January 20.<\/p>\n Two sources familiar with the Supreme National Security Council<\/strong> told Iran International that in two recent reports from the Revolutionary Guard Intelligence Organization to the Council, on February 2 and 4, the death toll was listed as more than 33,000 and more than 36,500, respectively<\/strong>.\"<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Today, Iran International notes that these protests have now lasted 30 days<\/a>, stating: \"On the thirtieth day of the Iranian National Revolution, some European officials emphasized the need for the European Union to declare the Revolutionary Guard Corps a terrorist organization<\/strong>, and Israeli officials and media reported on the possibility of a US attack<\/strong>.\"<\/em><\/p>\n Obviously, the measures to denounce that criminal regime are very good<\/strong>, as are the pronouncements to classify the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization. But it is not enough. Many cried foul over the deaths in a war provoked by Hamas, accusing Israel, the attacked country, of \"genocide\"<\/strong> for its campaign to try to free the people kidnapped by that Islamist terrorist organization supported by the Iranian dictatorship. Those same people are exhibiting a shocking silence about the colossal massacre in Iran<\/strong>, if not outright complicity with the dictatorship, as in the case of the anti-Semitic far left and its infamous position on this matter<\/a>.<\/p>\n In the end, the protests in Iran have exposed the pathological sectarianism of many activists who pretend to be human rights defenders<\/strong>, but only when they have an excuse to demonize the only real democracy in the Middle East, the State of Israel. The antisemitic far left has made it clear that human rights mean very little to them<\/strong>, as they already demonstrated with their complicit attitude toward the Russian invasion of Ukraine and their silence regarding the massacres of Christians in Nigeria at the hands of Islamist terrorists.<\/p>\n The extreme left is acting in this case as a mere political puppet of Iran's Islamist dictatorship<\/strong>, just as it acted as a puppet of the Kremlin in the case of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. For communists and their cronies, anything goes to support the enemies of the West<\/strong>, with whom they share the same hatred for Judeo-Christian civilization, liberal democracy, and the free market system.<\/p>\n A despicable position also taken by the anti-Semitic far right<\/strong>, which, while claiming to defend Christianity, has had no qualms about defending a criminal regime that atrociously persecutes Christians<\/a>. It was somewhat predictable, given his position on the invasion of Ukraine<\/strong>, siding with the Kremlin, an ally of dictatorships that persecute Christians<\/a>, such as North Korea, communist China, Iran, and Cuba.<\/p>\n This massacre in Iran is not only serving to confirm that organizations like the UN are useless<\/strong>, as was already clear with the Russian invasion of Ukraine (which hasn't even led to the expulsion of the invading country from that organization, in whose Security Council it retains its veto power), but also to reveal how the masks of many have slipped<\/strong>, from those who remain silent or maintain a very low profile in the face of this massacre, after having shouted against Israel, to those who directly act as accomplices of the Islamist dictatorship in Tehran. None of this will be forgotten: their attitude these days will be remembered in the days to come<\/strong>, when they once again have the gall to lecture us on morality about the most varied matters.<\/p>\n ---<\/p>\n Photo: Zuma.
