Recently, we have seen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.eu\/article\/greta-thunberg-arrested-at-pro-palestinian-demonstration-again\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">her campaigning against the State of Israel<\/a> <strong>following the brutal Hamas terrorist attack of October 7, 2023<\/strong>, and the Israeli military response to free the hundreds of hostages held by that criminal Islamist organization supported by Iran. <strong>Without having condemned that attack<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/GretaThunberg\/status\/1715355502337499332\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">on October 20, 2023 Thunberg expressed her \"solidarity with Palestine and Gaza\"<\/a> and a few weeks later <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/GretaThunberg\/status\/1731936152972570633\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">accused Israel of \"genocide\"<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><big>Not a word from Thunberg about Iran after more than 36,500 deaths<\/big><\/p>\n<p>Things change when we talk about Iran. <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/search?q=from%3AGretaThunberg%20iran&src=typed_query&f=live\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">In the almost seven years she's been on Twitter, Thunberg hasn't mentioned Iran even once.<\/a> Let's remember that it's an Islamist dictatorship that hangs homosexuals, persecutes Christians, and radically discriminates against women. <strong>Large crowds have been demonstrating in Iran since December to demand freedom<\/strong>, and against these protests <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2026\/01\/26\/iran-30-days-of-protests-more-than-36500-people-killed-and-many-masks-dropped\/\">the dictatorship has perpetrated a brutal repression, murdering more than 36,500 people<\/a>, according to figures released last Sunday. <strong>But Thunberg remains silent.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><big>Thunberg refuses to comment on Iran<\/big><\/p>\n<p>Yesterday, the London-based Persian media outlet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iranintl.com\/202601274644\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Iran International<\/a> reported that it <em>\"<strong>attempted to contact Greta Thunberg by phone and email to clarify her position on the Iranian national revolution, but she refused to give interviews or comment on the Iranian protests<\/strong>; a silence that, for many, is more revealing than any explicit response.\"<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Iran International adds: <em>\"<strong>In recent years, Greta Thunberg has become a symbol of a new generation of global activists<\/strong>; a figure who takes outspoken positions not only on the climate crisis, but also on political and humanitarian issues. <strong>Over the past year, she has repeatedly appeared at demonstrations wearing a headscarf and carrying a Palestinian flag, issued strong messages against Israel<\/strong>, and attempted to present herself as the \"voice of the victims of Gaza.\" This strong presence made her a \"paradigm of moral courage and human commitment\" for many, but <strong>this very image has been seriously challenged today<\/strong>.\"<\/em><\/p>\n<p><big>The flags of the Iranian dictatorship used by the Swedish far left<\/big><\/p>\n<p>The Persian media outlet reports that <em>\"<strong>Greta Thunberg has chosen to remain silent; a complete silence, without even a message of sympathy or a brief gesture<\/strong>. This silence is not a minor detail, but a direct contradiction of her previous statements about defending human life. Critics argue that the issue is no longer one of \"forgetfulness\" or \"ignorance.\" <strong>Greta Thunberg has demonstrated that she can react to global events with the utmost speed when she chooses. So the main question is: Why not Iran?<\/strong> Why are so many activists who demand global justice suddenly silent when unarmed protesters are killed in the streets?\"<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Iran International points out something significant about the far-left mobilizations in Thunberg's home country:<\/strong> <em>\"This silence comes in a context that has become highly political. <strong>On Monday, January 26, in Sweden, some pro-Palestinian groups<\/strong> that have been continuously marching through the country's streets for the past two years <strong>incorporated the flag of the Islamic Republic into their demonstrations<\/strong>, an action that provoked an attack on a march of Iranian freedom fighters in an area of \u200b\u200bGothenburg. For many Iranians, this incident was a clear symbol of <strong>the dangerous connection between some of the so-called 'anti-war' movements and one of the most authoritarian governments in the Middle East<\/strong>.\"<\/em><\/p>\n<p><big>Iran International denounces Thunberg's \u201cselective activism\u201d<\/big><\/p>\n<p>The Persian media outlet concludes: <em>\"<strong>In such a space, Greta Thunberg's silence is no longer perceived as mere inaction, but as part of a broader pattern: selective activism.<\/strong> A pattern in which some victims receive empathy and media coverage, while others are ignored for political and ideological reasons. <strong>This approach not only calls into question the moral authority of figures like Greta Thunberg, but also undermines the very concept of universal human rights.<\/strong> If the defense of human life depends on geography, political coalitions, or popular narratives, then there can be no talk of \"justice\"; <strong>what remains is politics disguised as morality.<\/strong>\"<\/em><\/p>\n<p><big>The similar case of the Spanish far-left<\/big><\/p>\n<p><strong>That same double standard of the far left has also been exposed in Spain<\/strong>.
