{"id":63413,"date":"2026-02-12T22:11:09","date_gmt":"2026-02-12T21:11:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/?p=63413"},"modified":"2026-02-19T21:46:54","modified_gmt":"2026-02-19T20:46:54","slug":"the-arrival-of-a-spanish-special-operations-military-contingent-in-emden-germany","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2026\/02\/12\/the-arrival-of-a-spanish-special-operations-military-contingent-in-emden-germany\/","title":{"rendered":"The arrival of a Spanish special operations military contingent in Emden, Germany"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Spanish Armed Forces have carried out a significant deployment for the NATO-organized Steadfast Dart 26 exercise.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><rel><a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2026\/01\/05\/excellent-images-of-an-exercise-by-spanish-soldiers-from-the-moe-fgne-and-ezapac\/\">Excellent images of an exercise by Spanish soldiers from the MOE, FGNE and EZAPAC<\/a><\/rel><br \/>\n<rel><a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2025\/08\/01\/spectacular-assault-exercise-by-the-fgne-on-the-spanish-navys-ship-carnota\/\">Spectacular assault exercise by the FGNE on the Spanish Navy's ship 'Carnota'<\/a><\/rel><\/p>\n<p><strong>This deployment also includes personnel and vehicles from the Joint Special Operations Command (MCOE)<\/strong>, made up of the Special Operations Command (<strong>MOE<\/strong>) of the Army, the Special Naval Warfare Force (<strong>FGNE<\/strong>) of the Navy and the Parachute Sapper Squadron (<strong>EZAPAC<\/strong>) of the Air Force.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/emad.defensa.gob.es\/prensa\/noticias\/2026\/02\/Listado\/260211-ni-STDT26despligue-completo.html\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Yesterday, the Spanish Defence Staff announced<\/a>: <em>\"The main objective of 'Steadfast Dart 26' is to demonstrate the ability to rapidly and convergently deploy the ARF Forces through its various Component Commands. <strong>In this edition, Spain is a major contributor, leading the Special Operations Component Command (SOCC) for the second consecutive year<\/strong>, as well as the Maritime Component Command (MCC).\"<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>The SOCC will be under the command of Major General \u00c1ngel Ram\u00f3n Herrezuelo P\u00e9rez<\/strong>, a member of the Marine Infantry and current commander of the MCOE. <em>\"During the exercise, it will integrate with other Component Commands to carry out joint training activities, such as <strong>infiltrations using manual opening jumps, special insertion and extraction procedures, direct actions with live fire<\/strong>, close air support (CAS) activities, support for amphibious operations, and boarding actions with opposition,\"<\/em> the EMAD stated.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/jfcbs.nato.int\/stdt26\/media\/news\/swift-and-seamless-logistics-spanish-special-operations-component-command-arrive-in-germany-for-exercise-steadfast-dart-\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Yesterday, the NATO Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum (JFCBS) issued a statement<\/a> noting: <em>\"<strong>Spanish Special Operations Component Command (SOCC) completed its Reception, Staging and Onward Movement (RSOM) process<\/strong> to various training areas in northern Germany on Monday, Feb. 9, 2026, in preparation for their participation in exercise STEADFAST DART. The logistics phase is a crucial step of every military deployment and a key point of the exercise. <strong>In the case of the SOCC equipment, including tactical and support vehicles, shipped from Cartagena, Spain<\/strong> the journey began at the end of January and concluded at Emden Port in Germany on Feb. 7.\"<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/55091590402_9cc2abd230_o.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/55091590402_51297894be_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Alongside these lines, we can see two photos published yesterday by the JFCBS. <strong>Above, we see two VAMTAC VT-5s from the MOE<\/strong> aboard the ship that transported them to Emden, Germany. <strong>Below, we see a photo of the embarked vehicles.<\/strong> We see VAMTAC ST-5s from the FGNE in three-color NATO camouflage, VAMTAC ST-5s from the MOE and the EZAPAC (mostly olive green and one sand-colored), four VAMTAC ST-5 VMOEs from the MOE (recognizable because they are roofless), one VLOE EINSA Net\u00f3n from the MOE, and seven trucks. <em>\"<strong>On arrival, the RSOM process began with support of German port machinery<\/strong>, downloading containers and vehicles, before SOCC members started assembling the convoys. <strong>Following over 24 hours of continuous effort, convoys were finally ready to move to their final destination<\/strong>,\"<\/em> the JFCBS notes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/55092741139_ed6356d037_o.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/55092741139_65d9e22571_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NATOJFCBS\/status\/2021925394467651612\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Today, the JFCBS published a series of three images<\/a> of the arrival of the Spanish Special Operations Command (MCOE) vehicles in Germany. <strong>Below, we can see two EINSA Net\u00f3n Light Special Operations Vehicles (VLOE)<\/strong>, belonging to the Spanish Special Operations Command (MOE). In December 2021, the MOE received 24 of these vehicles, built on the Toyota Hilux chassis.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/55092468301_2e4edf2ea5_o.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/55092468301_aa3af261b3_c.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Below we can see a VAMTAC ST-5 VMOE of the MOE<\/strong>.
