In this blog I usually talk about many famous people, but I don't usually write much about the most important people in the world.<\/p>\n
You won't see these people making decisions in parliament or starring in events at a palace. They've never appeared in the news either, despite having done admirable things. These people are true, flesh-and-blood superheroes who do the most difficult and precious thing in this world: give life<\/strong>, raise and care for their children, get up very early every day, do their jobs quietly, make enormous sacrifices, and perform heroic acts for which they will never receive a medal.<\/p>\n I thank God for having known two such people: my parents.<\/strong> People to whom I owe everything good you might ever perceive in these pages, because I have learned what is truly important in the world from them. For the past six months, we have had a great void in our home<\/a>, one of those voids that is impossible to fill. An absence that you remember with every little thing your father left behind, but ultimately a sorrow that is more bearable because we know that death is not the end and because my mother is still here.<\/strong><\/p>\n These six months have been a time to remember and give thanks for all the moments lived with him, and also to thank God for allowing us to continue sharing our path with the most wonderful person in the world, who is my mother<\/strong>, a great woman about whom any words I could write here would be as insufficient as a poet's vain attempt to describe in words a beautiful drop of dew illuminated by the morning sun on the petal of a rose.<\/p>\n Thanks to people like my mother, it's possible to face this world with optimism and hope<\/strong>, despite the numerous bad news stories we read in the media every day. When you think that there must be many more people like her in the world<\/strong>, you realize that this small blue planet lost in space is a particularly fortunate place, and one we should be proud of.<\/p>\n Obviously, I should write all this in the second person, because my mother is the most loyal reader of this blog<\/strong> (she's always correcting my typos).
