This Tuesday marked four years since the start of the large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022.<\/p>\n

In order to support Ukraine in its defense, the European Union Military Assistance Mission in Support of Ukraine (EUMAM-UA) was launched in October 2022<\/strong>, in which 24 European countries provide military training to Ukrainian forces through successive rotations. In Spain, this program was launched in November 2022 at military bases in Toledo<\/strong> (where the Training Coordination Center, or TTCC, is located), Cartagena, Logro\u00f1o, Ronda, Seville, and Valencia.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In this program, Spanish military instructors contribute to the training of Ukrainian soldiers through various modules<\/strong>, including marksmanship, movements and formations, first aid, advanced topography, combat psychology, weapons handling, etc. A month ago, 8,500 Ukrainian soldiers had already completed these training courses in Spain<\/a>, a figure equivalent to 10% of the troops trained in this European mission.<\/p>\n

In addition to providing military training to our Ukrainian friends, this program also serves to exchange knowledge<\/strong>. The Ukrainian Army already has four years of combat experience against the Russians, and the lessons it is learning in this war are helping to improve the training plans of allied countries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This Thursday, CharryTV Ronda<\/a> published an interesting video showing the training of Ukrainian soldiers at the Spanish Legion base in Ronda (M\u00e1laga)<\/strong>, with instructors from the X Flag \"Mill\u00e1n Astray\" of the 4th Tercio \"Alejandro Farnesio\" of the Legion. The Ukrainian soldiers we see in this video are already war veterans<\/strong>, who are receiving training modules at that Spanish base in urban warfare, explosives, medical services, TC3 (Tactical Combat Casualty Treatment), and sniper training, according to CharryTV<\/a> (the video is in Spanish; you can activate automatic English subtitles in the bottom bar of the player):<\/p>\n
