In theory, we live in a time in history when debunking a lie is especially easy<\/strong>, because today almost everyone has a mobile phone capable of recording videos. However, lies continue to run rampant, indifferent to the evidence<\/strong>, becoming a powerful political tool in the hands of unscrupulous people.<\/p>\n A Socialist councillor threw a cup of coffee at a Vox councillor.<\/big><\/p>\n Yesterday, David Esteban Fern\u00e1ndez, the Vox spokesperson in the Aranjuez City Council (Madrid)<\/strong>, announced that he would be filing a complaint against Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Cerme\u00f1o Terol<\/a>, a Socialist councilor from the PSOE (Spanish Socialist Workers' Party), for a serious incident that occurred during a municipal committee meeting in February. The incident began when a socialist councilor called the Vox spokesperson an \"asshole.\"<\/strong> At that moment, the insulted councilor asked, \"Did you just call me an asshole?\" Cerme\u00f1o intervened, saying, \"That's what you are, because that's what you are, and a fascist to boot.\"<\/strong> At that moment, the Vox spokesperson said to Cerme\u00f1o, \"And you're lazy.\" Then, the socialist councilman threw a glass full of hot coffee at the Vox spokesperson<\/strong>, which is the act of aggression that prompted this complaint.<\/p>\n The PSOE of Aranjuez published a statement denying the attack...<\/big><\/p>\n After the complaint was filed, the PSOE of Aranjuez published a statement denying the attack<\/a> (an automatic copy can be seen here<\/a>, in case the statement is deleted or altered) in which the socialists stated the following: \"the events recounted by the Vox spokesperson, Esteban Fern\u00e1ndez, are false<\/strong>, as can be confirmed by spokespeople from the other political groups present at the Information Committee, and that what is a reality is that the Esteban Fern\u00e1ndez seriously insulted members of the socialist group, even going so far as to make death threats.<\/strong>\"<\/em><\/p>\n ... unaware that there was a recording that proved it<\/big><\/p>\n The PSOE statement added the following about the Vox spokesperson: \"in the information committee to which reference is made, he seriously insulted several members of our municipal group<\/strong>, maintaining a violent reaction to the point of threatening to kill one of our councilors on two occasions<\/strong>\"<\/em>.<\/p>\n
