The French Revolution began in 1789. What started as a process to establish a constitutional monarchy turned into something else.<\/p>\n

\nThe problem of whitewashing the Jacobin left and what happened in France in 1793<\/a><\/rel><\/p>\n

The process soon took on a republican, dictatorial, and anti-Catholic character<\/strong>, under the leadership of the most radical sectors of the revolutionaries: the Jacobins. Led by such ruthless figures as Maximilien Robespierre, they imposed a dictatorship, the Jacobin Terror (1793-1794), which perpetrated the first genocide of the Modern Age: the Vend\u00e9e<\/strong>, a mass crime that the French Republic still refuses to officially acknowledge.<\/p>\n

Academia Play<\/a> published an excellent video yesterday explaining how this massacre unfolded<\/strong>, who its main perpetrators were, and the brutal methods they used to exterminate tens of thousands of people, including women, children, and the elderly<\/strong>, in a process directly planned by the State from the city of Paris.
