Once again, the Spanish Legion has made its traditional landing in the city of Malaga to participate in the Holy Week events.<\/p>\n
One of the most striking of these events is the solemn transfer of the Christ of the Good Death, protector of the Legion<\/strong>, by members of the different units of the Legion. This year, as reported by Diario Sur<\/a>, this symbolic act included the participation of a mixed honor guard made up of legionary ladies and gentlemen from the Headquarters Flag (BCG), the Field Artillery Group and the Logistics Group of the \"King Alfonso XIII\" II Brigade of the Legion (BRILEG)<\/strong>, based in Viator (Almer\u00eda), accompanied by the BCG War Band and the BRILEG Music Unit.<\/p>\n As is tradition, the legionnaires carried the Christ of the Good Death while singing \"El nopvio de la muerte\"<\/strong> (The Bridegroom of Death), one of the most famous hymns in the legionnaire's songbook. This year, the major novelty is that the Legion's landing took place aboard the amphibious assault ship \"Galicia\" L-51<\/strong>, based in Rota (C\u00e1diz).
