The ship is carrying 149 people, 14 of whom are Spanish nationals (13 passengers and one crew member). Yesterday, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/sanidadgob\/status\/2051759760488157650\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the Spanish Ministry of Health announced that it will receive the ship in the Canary Islands<\/a> <em>\"in compliance with International Law and the humanitarian spirit.\"<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Regarding Spain's legal obligation to accept this ship and matters related to the MV Hondius, <strong>Fernando Garc\u00eda Echegoyen, a man with extensive experience in maritime issues<\/strong> (he has worked as a Maritime Average Commissioner, as a nautical expert, and as an employee and collaborator in various companies in the maritime sector), <strong>published a video a few hours ago commenting on this case<\/strong> on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@HISTORIASDELMARYLOSBARCOSELVID\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">his YouTube channel<\/a> (the video is in Spanish; you can activate automatic English subtitles in the bottom bar of the player):<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"SIBRE EL BARCO DEL ANTAVIRUS\" width=\"665\" height=\"374\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/dHbnYUvprcs?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In the video, <strong>Garc\u00eda Echegoyen mentions that his appearance yesterday on the program \"Horizonte,\" hosted by Iker Jim\u00e9nez<\/strong> on the Cuatro channel, was scheduled. The veteran sailor states at the beginning of the video: <em>\"<strong>I was going to appear, but in the end they decided I shouldn't and they brought on people who apparently know more about these topics than I do<\/strong>,\"<\/em> he says, laughing, before adding that <em>\"a series of silly things were said on the program that left me speechless.\"<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>I met Garc\u00eda Echegoyen on Iker Jim\u00e9nez's show \"Cuarto Milenio,\"<\/strong> where the veteran sailor often appeared telling stories about ships. It was one of the most interesting segments of the program.
