\"Multilateralism.\" For some time now, Pedro S\u00e1nchez has been using that word as the key to his lamentable international policy.<\/p>\n
This \"multilateralism\" is, basically, the Spanish socialist leader's pretext for cozying up to dictatorships like China and Venezuela<\/strong>, two authoritarian regimes that violate human rights. On April 9, I warned here about an opaque operation to tie Spain to the world's most authoritarian regime<\/a>.<\/p>\n In that article, I referred to S\u00e1nchez's rapprochement with the Chinese communist dictatorship, to the point of becoming the main partner of that anti-democratic regime in the European Union<\/strong>. In my text, I linked to a news item published that same day by the online newspaper Vozp\u00f3puli, which warned that S\u00e1nchez was returning to China without having explained the details of his meeting with Xi Jinping a year ago<\/a>. Details that the parliamentary opposition demanded to know, but which\u2014as he does with so many other things\u2014the Socialist leader refused to reveal.<\/p>\n When a government acts with opacity, it gives rise to the worst suspicions.<\/strong> In S\u00e1nchez's case, the drift of his government and his party was already fertile ground for seeing cause for alarm in that dangerous relationship with a dictatorship. Spanish socialism is mired in serious corruption scandals<\/a> that indicate that behind all its political propaganda there might be a machine for illicit enrichment<\/strong>, something that would explain such scandalous things as S\u00e1nchez's proposal from China to weaken the role of democratic countries in the UN<\/a>, a measure that would benefit clearly to dictatorships like communist China.<\/p>\n This Tuesday, the judicial indictment of former president Jos\u00e9 Luis Rodr\u00edguez Zapatero<\/a>, a person who wields enormous influence in the S\u00e1nchez government and the Socialist Party (PSOE), has uncovered a criminal network that profited from the sale of gold and oil<\/a> and maintained contacts with \"authorities and economic operators in Venezuela, China, the United Arab Emirates, and other countries.\"<\/em> \" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">One of those contacts was the Communist Party of China (CPC)<\/a>, the single party of Xi Jinping's dictatorship.<\/p>\n
