The main events of Spain's Armed Forces Day continue in the city of Vigo, this time near its beaches.<\/p>\n

The program for Spain's Armed Forces Day 2026, which will be held in Vigo<\/a><\/rel>
\nA spectacular display with NH90 and SH-60B military helicopters flying at low altitude in Vigo<\/a><\/rel><\/p>\n

Today, the Spanish Navy and the Maritime Service of the Civil Guard organized a naval review<\/strong>, which was presided over by His Majesty the King from the maritime action vessel (BAM) \"Audaz\" P-45. The naval review featured seven ships, including the flagship of the Spanish Navy, the aircraft carrier \"Juan Carlos I\" L-61.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After the naval review, there was a dynamic display by the Armed Forces, the Military Emergency Unit (UME), and the Civil Guard<\/strong>. I took almost 1,700 photos of this event and will be posting some of them little by little, as it was all truly spectacular.<\/p>\n

Today I want to start with one of the most thunderous displays of the afternoon: two EAV-8B+ Harrier II fighters from the 9th Squadron of the Spanish Navy took off from L-61<\/strong> and made a couple of passes near the beach. It wasn't easy to photograph them because they were going very fast, but I managed to take the pictures you see in this article.<\/p>\n

One of the planes hovered so close to the beach that it splashed us with water, as its propulsion jets created a curtain of spray in front of Samil beach<\/strong>. The noise was deafening. It was truly amazing. You can see the video here:<\/p>\n
