Le\u00f3n XIV.<br \/>Qu\u00e9 emocionante ha sido la ma\u00f1ana de hoy. \u00a1Qu\u00e9 necesario es el humanismo cristiano es estos tiempos! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/AisiF5JBto\">pic.twitter.com\/AisiF5JBto<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Enma L\u00f3pez (@EnmaLopez) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/EnmaLopez\/status\/2063615187916091440?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 7, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.x.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>I am a Christian and I believe in miracles<\/strong>, and I certainly know that the Lord is capable of opening a person's eyes and changing their life, but <strong>I find it strange that a councilwoman from a party that defends inhumane and anti-Christian positions<\/strong> (such as atrocities like abortion and euthanasia, actively promoted by the PSOE) <strong>now sincerely embraces Christian humanism.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In January 2023, on a program on the La Sexta channel, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lasexta.com\/programas\/sexta-noche\/cabreo-enma-lopez-psoe-garciagallardo-vox-sus-medidas-antiaborto-quiere-restringir-derechos-mujeres_2023011563c3e4948db6350001aafdeb.html\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Enma L\u00f3pez Ara\u00fajo belittled the opposition to abortion, calling it \"a 200-year-old morality.\"<\/a> To be honest, I think she understated it. <strong>Defending the lives of the most innocent and defenseless is not a 200-year-old morality, but something much older.<\/strong> The Catholic Church has been defending this morality since its founding almost 2,000 years ago. <strong>Rejecting the murder of innocents is as old as rejecting any other crime<\/strong>, and I don't see what the problem is with that rejection not being something new.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, <strong>that Christian humanism which L\u00f3pez Ara\u00fajo now praises is precisely what encourages many of us to reject the atrocity of induced abortion<\/strong> (the cruel and inhuman act of killing and dismembering the weakest and most defenseless members of our own species), <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Pontifex\/status\/2047761118144147633\">including Pope Leo XIV, who in April of this year stated<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\"<strong>The Catholic Church has consistently taught that each human life, from the moment of conception until natural death, is sacred and deserves to be protected.<\/strong> Indeed, the right to life is the very foundation of every other human right. For this reason, only when a society safeguards the sanctity of human life will it flourish and prosper.\"<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In May of last year, in his first speech before the diplomatic corps accredited to the Holy See, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2025\/05\/17\/leo-xiv-claims-the-dignity-of-every-person-including-the-unborn\/\">Leo XIV had already stated<\/a>: <em>\"<strong>no one is exempted from striving to ensure respect for the dignity of every person, especially the most frail and vulnerable, from the unborn to the elderly<\/strong>, from the sick to the unemployed, citizens and immigrants alike.\"<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>I don't rule out that this woman has changed her mind. I sincerely hope so<\/strong>, because the truth and the love of God have a liberating effect on people, and I wholeheartedly wish this for everyone, without exception. In truth, one thing cannot be denied: <strong>the defense of abortion is radically incompatible with Christian humanism<\/strong>, just as any other crime against innocent and defenseless human beings is.
