The participation of the Spanish Navy in the Fleetex 250 exercise in the United States is producing some very noteworthy moments.<\/p>\n

Yesterday, the United States Marine Corps released a series of photos<\/a> showing one of the exercises they conducted jointly with the Spanish Navy. In this case, we see members of the Combat Logistics Battalion 22, Combat Logistics Regiment 27, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, in a combined helicopter support exercise for logistics tasks<\/strong>, a replenishment exercise between ships and between land positions known in the U.S. Navy as VERTREP (for \"Vertical Replenishment\").<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

In a VERTREP, the participating helicopters never touch the ground.<\/strong> This exercise involves transporting loads from one location to another using the aircraft's underhook. In this case, the VERTREP, which took place on June 20 at the USMC base in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, was carried out by an SH-60F Seahawk helicopter from the 10th Squadron of the Spanish Navy's Flotilla of Aircraft (FLOAN)<\/strong>, a unit based at Naval Station Rota.<\/p>\n

In this series of photos, taken by Sergeant Jorge Borjas of the Marine Corps, we see US marines and soldiers from the Spanish Marine Corps participating in this exercise<\/strong>. The photos are very good; it's clear that Sergeant Borjas has a good eye for photography.<\/p>\n

The photos that caught my attention the most are these last two.<\/strong> In them we see the American and Spanish soldiers who participated in this exercise in two spectacular group photos next to the Spanish SH-60F.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

In the last of these photos, we can even see two of the SH-60F crew members leaning out from the sides of the helicopter.<\/strong> A magnificent image that will remain a great memory for the 10th Squadron.<\/p>\n
