During the 20th century, the world witnessed the rise to power and the crimes of the two great totalitarian ideologies in history.<\/p>\n
Communism and National Socialism are two totalitarian movements that perpetrated the worst genocides humanity has witnessed<\/strong> during the last century. Nazism was defeated in 1945, after which this criminal movement has survived in the form of fringe groups. However, communist dictatorships still hold a fifth of the world's population under their yoke today.<\/strong><\/p>\n Today, Spain has the shameful distinction of being the only country in the European Union with communist members in its government<\/strong>, specifically Vice President Yolanda D\u00edaz and Minister Sira Rego. Before them, the first communists to enter the Spanish government were from Podemos<\/strong>, a far-left party that formed a coalition with the Socialist Party (PSOE) in 2020 to share the positions in a government led by Socialist Prime Minister Pedro S\u00e1nchez.<\/p>\n This week, the communist Pablo Iglesias Turri\u00f3n, who was vice president of the S\u00e1nchez government, went on a TVE program<\/strong> to say things typical of totalitarians like himself. Specifically, he advocated for the banning of the two main opposition parties, the People's Party (PP) and Vox<\/a>, simply because both have denounced the tricks the S\u00e1nchez government is using to inflate the electoral roll by granting nationality to foreigners who have never set foot in Spain<\/a>, in an increasingly obvious attempt to rig the upcoming general elections.<\/p>\n Pablo Iglesias's opinions are no surprise: he's a communist saying things typical of communists<\/strong>, that is, of members of a totalitarian movement that has clearly shown its preference for dictatorships. Iglesias himself defended the legitimacy of the rigged elections in Venezuela in 2024, which were orchestrated by the dictator Nicol\u00e1s Maduro<\/a>. A year later, and to the surprise of no one even remotely informed about this totalitarian movement, Iglesias and other Podemos leaders traveled to Beijing to show their alignment with the Chinese communist dictatorship<\/a>, a one-party regime<\/strong> that has been governing mainland China since 1949 without free elections and with systematic human rights violations.<\/p>\n The communists want to do in Spain what they've done in other countries: turn it into a dictatorship.<\/strong> Anyone who isn't naive and has even a basic understanding of these left-wing extremists knows this. What's astonishing is that RTVE, a state-run media outlet paid for by all Spaniards, serves as a mouthpiece for totalitarians who intend to outlaw the opposition<\/strong>, specifically the party that won the last general election (the PP) and the third most voted party (Vox). Will TVE's next move be to invite a Nazi to defend the racist N\u00fcremberg Laws, or perhaps an Islamist to defend the imposition of Islamic law?<\/strong> Once RTVE crossed the red line by inviting anti-democrats like Pablo Iglesias, anything is possible.<\/p>\n ---<\/p>\n
