Several provinces in Spain are currently suffering from a terrible wave of forest fires that has forced the evacuation of thousands of people.<\/p>\n
The figures for these fires are catastrophic<\/strong> and have already prompted other countries to send aid. Right now, 59,896 people have been evacuated and 29,867 are confined to their homes<\/a> due to the fires affecting the provinces of Madrid, \u00c1vila, and Toledo<\/strong>. A total of 95,000 people have been affected in these three provinces and another 16,000 in Castell\u00f3n. The fires have already burned an area of \u200b\u200b81,000 hectares.<\/strong><\/p>\n The fires have already affected 110,000 people<\/strong>. We're talking about a lot of people who are experiencing these moments with great concern. This catastrophe, due to its scale, is very reminiscent of what happened in the terrible floods of 2014. In times like these, those affected need companionship and support, to have people nearby who make them feel that Spain is by their side<\/strong> and that they will have all the necessary help until their lives return to normal. In this regard, I find the gesture of the national football team coach, Luis de la Fuente<\/a>, admirable. This morning he went to the Marazuela sports center in Las Rozas to support the residents evacuated due to the fires in Colmenar del Arroyo<\/strong>. My applause to him.<\/p>\n
