A newspaper very close to the Moroccan royal palace, which on Thursday claimed Ceuta and Melilla.<\/big><\/p>\n

Last Friday, during his visit to Ceuta, S\u00e1nchez even praised Morocco's \"cooperation\"<\/a> hours after the authorities of that country allowed tens of thousands of Moroccans to storm the Spanish city<\/strong>, sowing chaos and fear among the residents of Ceuta. In case there were any remaining doubts about the difference between the official narrative of the Spanish government and the reality of Moroccan intentions, on Thursday, the day the assault began, the Moroccan newspaper Le 360 \u200b\u200bpublished an article claiming Ceuta and Melilla<\/a>, and doing so with an arrogance only explainable by the servility of S\u00e1nchez's government towards that African monarchy: \"The central question is no longer whether these cities will be reintegrated into their natural environment, Morocco, but how long it will take<\/strong> and how many human tragedies will have to be lamented until then,\"<\/em> stated the author of the text, Tarik Qattab, editor-in-chief of that newspaper.<\/p>\n

The Moroccan newspaper that published that article is not just any publication. Le 360 \u200b\u200bis considered the unofficial mouthpiece of the royal palace and Morocco's intelligence services<\/strong>, including both the General Directorate of Studies and Documentation (DGED, its foreign intelligence agency) and the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST, its domestic intelligence agency). Its editorial line is always aligned with the Makhzen<\/strong>, as the upper echelons of the state apparatus are known in Morocco.<\/p>\n

Le 360 \u200b\u200bthis Monday: \u201cThe irruption of Vox into the institutions ended the old Spanish political exceptionalism\u201d<\/big><\/p>\n

Significantly, today that influential Moroccan newspaper points to Spain's third most voted party as a threat to the interests of Mohammed VI<\/strong>. It did so through a news article<\/a> published at 4:30 PM Rabat time (5:30 PM Madrid time) and written by Faiza Rhoul. The article is titled \"The Dangerous Advance of Anti-Moroccan Hatred in Spain<\/strong>\"<\/em> and begins by noting that the \"Sebta migration crisis\"<\/em> (the name commonly used in Morocco to refer to Ceuta) \"has fueled extremist groups.\"<\/em> The penultimate paragraph of the article categorically states: \"Vox's entry into the institutions ended the old Spanish political exceptionalism<\/strong>.\"<\/em><\/p>\n

With this \"exceptionalism\", the Moroccan newspaper refers to the fact that until now, \"the arrival of millions of immigrants\"<\/em> had not resulted in a political party that questions a policy favoring mass immigration<\/strong>, a type of party that Le 360 \u200b\u200bdescribes as a \"xenophobic political force.\" Would it say the same thing if Morocco had received millions of European immigrants and these were routinely linked to problems of public safety<\/a>?<\/p>\n

The Moroccan royal newspaper is concerned about the growing influence of Vox<\/big><\/p>\n

This is not the first time the unofficial newspaper of the Moroccan royal palace has targeted Vox.<\/strong> On July 16, in another article<\/a> also signed by Faiza Rhoul, Le 360 \u200b\u200bdenounced the growing influence of Vox's positions within the People's Party, stating: \"The position on the Sahara, the agreements with Vox, the \"national priority\"<\/strong> and the latest controversies have led the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jos\u00e9 Manuel Albares, to directly accuse the main opposition party of being \"anti-Moroccan\".<\/em> It is significant to see this newspaper, which acts as the regular mouthpiece of Mohammed VI, referring to Albares as if he were the Moroccan ambassador to Spain...<\/strong><\/p>\n

In that article, Le 360 \u200b\u200blamented: \"In recent months, the PP has also hardened its rhetoric on immigration and access to certain benefits, in a context of growing electoral competition with Vox<\/strong>.\"<\/em> For the Moroccan newspaper, Vox's \"national priority\" approach is one of the main causes for concern: \"It proposes giving preference to nationals over foreigners in access to certain public aid and benefits<\/strong>,\"<\/em> aid that served to create a pull factor for Moroccan immigrants to Spain. Le 360 \u200b\u200bwarned: \"Vox is managing to transfer part of its agenda to the main party of the Spanish right<\/strong>.\"<\/em><\/p>\n

In May, Le 360 \u200b\u200baccused Vox of having an 'obsession' with Morocco<\/big><\/p>\n

On May 16, Le 360 published another article by Faiza Rhoul targeting Vox<\/a>, accusing the Spanish party of \"turning Morocco into an electoral platform,\"<\/strong> with this argument: \"It doesn't just appear as an external actor, an uncomfortable partner, or an economic competitor. It appears as a migratory, cultural, agricultural, religious, territorial, and even educational threat.<\/strong> In other words, as a tool used to organize almost all the fears the party wants to mobilize.\"<\/em><\/p>\n

In that text, Le 360 \u200b\u200bdescribed Vox's hostility towards Morocco as an \"obsession\".<\/strong> After what we saw just a few days ago, with tens of thousands of Moroccans storming the Spanish city of Ceuta while Moroccan authorities stood by impassively, what is clear is that if Vox is a nuisance to the Makhzen, it is perhaps because it is shedding light on its strategic agenda against Spain<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
